Pakistani Sikhs Break Pakistani Parliament Gates To Protest Attacks On Scriptures

This threads been around a while and is getting longer with messages. The outsider looking in, would think from reading the messages, that the gist of the news story is about intolerant muslims and Sikhs struggling to assert their rights amongst them.

That, could not be further from the truth. The Sikhs in Pakistan are demanding the authorities in Pakistan take a harsh line against the Hindus in Pakistan (in Sindh province) who have been increasingly committing henious acts against Sikh scriptures.

Recap: Hindus (not muslims) have been committing disgustingly blasphemous acts against Sikh scriptures and the Sikhs stormed the Pakistani parliament to demand the authorities take action against those Hindus.

Its both hindus and muslims. Muslims have burnt down hindu mandirs only few weeks ago and in or next building to the mandir housed saroop of sri guru granth sahib ji and that was the final straw for the sikhs in pakistan. The hindu so called priests granthis in sindh have been marking the sri guru granth shib birs in hindu swastika signs. And other incidents of bir's torn out. Muslim missionary organisation called dawah-e-islami (the guys with green turbans) led by a small mob by a man called salman butt forciablely attacked a gurdwara 1-2years ago because they didnt like sikhs playing instruments inside their gurdwara. Also a few yeasr ago a muslim mob enraged about Sikh university being made at nanaka sahib attacked the gurdwara gates and tried to get in before police restored order. Muslim land grab mafia are trying to knock down and take gurdwara land which is illegal as per terms agreed with india in 1950s which state no religious place land can be taken on either side of border yet muslims land grabbers have breached that agreement a few times.

So there are alot of issues in pakistan that need addressing but there are more bigger issues in India that need sorting first. Indian establishment has been the main aggressor against Sikhs since 1947 and that is were our energies should be concentrated against.
