Sad day for sikhi, instead of highlighting the British involved in the attack on the golden temple. The world is talking about sikh religious fanatics trying to kill each other in the name of god. What difference is a speech about badal going to make. India voted in their billions for his bjp party, plus his daughter in law got a ministry. Thank you and good night

I think the real lesson to be learned here is how blunt our kirpans are.

Last year we had 4 UK Sikhs trying to cut the throat of Gen. Brar with a kirpan that turned out to be as blunt as a children's toy sword.

Now we have dozens of people visibly hacking away at each other's body parts with long swords resulting in relatively minor injuries.

I think the world, and that includes right wing hindus and muslims, can clearly see that our kirpans are actually as lethal as a freshly baked baguette.

Interesting observation, though a blunt kirpan makes it legally carriable otherwise it would be outlawed in most western nations anyways.

Punjab Govt was under orders from the Central Govt to prevent anybody raising points about the Sikh Genocide at the Akal Takht at all costs, hence the incident. The Sikhs have very little power in India, even over their Gurdwaras. You must have noticed how this news was immediately flashed across the World and made headlines, the Indian media seemed to have been waiting with their cameras and had the foreign correspondents lined up.

Interestingly enough, for a warrior race, not one of them knows how to hold a sword or how to use one.

If they had, they would not used it in the manner that they did.

What a joke!

Doubt they wanted to seriously injury or kill each other per say just let off some tension and steam by having a good old fashion sword fight sparring match with each other.

All of them know the significance of the day and the place they are at such incidents are considered very bad beadi but in sikh history people have had to use violence to force anti-sikh masands and occupiers of darbar sahib out before so its not out of the norm its just really uncommon to see this.... a bit of a spectacle. Hopefully it will wake Sikhs up to reclaim the sri akal takht and other institutions from SGPC as the tide is beginning to turn against badal.
