New Takht Outside India Led By Panj Pyaare

Recommended Posts

kindly expand how you would like to see this happen please.

I wouldn't like to see a revolution, but what else can the Sikhs in Punjab do. In this case many Sikhs in Punjab know about whats going on but aren't taking full action or simply can't because its impossible. The silent genocide going on Punjab plus our Akal Takht being run by corrupt masands won't come to an end in a pleasant way. The Sikhs need a leader or come together to achieve certain goals and get rid of the corrupt leaders and the corruption that is going on. As of right now Akal Takht is a weak leadership for us Sikhs aboard India. Again I wouldn't want to see a revolution, but lets be real what else do Sikhs in general can do to take out the corruption out of Punjab. Especially us Sikhs aboard India we can't make change happen unless we are in Punjab.

Actually why not have a modernised Misl system? http://tisarpanth.blogspot.co.nz/2014/05/metamorphosis.html That way we can easily integrate with a global Akal-Takhat system.

Not a good idea. During the later misl period, Sikhs were in a constant civil war. They only put aside their disputes and united when fighting an external enemy like the Afghans or Mughals but when the danger was over, they again resumed their fighting.

Actually I think the SGPC system is not bad. Only it needs to be modified. The election system needs to be scrapped and members of SGPC should only be selected based on their Sikhi and Rehit observance. The election system is based on democracy and since the vast majority of Punjabi Sikh people are corrupt and have little or no observance of Rehit they will also elect a person like them in the SGPC. This is why the election system is a failure in religious organisations. A religious organisation like SGPC should have members in position of power who are religious, observant of Rehit and keep Amritvela and have a certain amount of Bani(at least full Nitnem) memorized.

Today, SGPC members who are elected just have long beard and dastar but inside they are no different than the average Punjab. They drink, don't do Nitnem or Amritvela. All of their sons are clean shaven and their daughters all marry non turbaned Sikhs. These are the people who are currently running SGPC due to this western created election democratic system.

History is there for us to see how the Misl system ended. We can peruse that.

why not? revolutions are not totally negative.

True. Guru Gobind Singh Ji said himself "Raj Bina Nahin Dharam Chale Hain, Dharam Bina Sab Dalle Malle Hain" . There is no stable Sikh sovereignty at the moment. Also Guru ji said something on the point where no one gives freedom one has to attain freedom;something along those lines.

Agreed with the concept of selection rather than election but then again the point rises about who will be responsible to select such position heads. If we say Panj Piyaray then who will select those Panj Piyarays to select position heads (SGPC leaders, jathedars etc).

Sikhs came to such positions on merit, character, humility and capability. This can still be done, there are many many good sikhs. But they are dwarfed by Sikhs who feel that money and status count for more. It's a rot that has affected most gurdwaras committees, and the sikh parliament, the SGPC.
