You dont get drivers and operators of american built tanks over night, it takes weeks if not months of training and guidance. And there are pictures all over social media of saudi arabian military in uniform deeply involved in ISIS.

ISIS jihadi's are slowly posing a direct threat to jewish state of Israel. Should be interesting what measures they will take to taken on the establishment of a totalitarian khalifa on their doorstep

Seems like a big war is being planned and is coming very soon.....

One thing we can take out of this conflict is the way the Iraqi Kurdish people played their cards. They remained neutral between the Sunni and Shia. When ISIS attacked, the Kurds also made their move and increased their territory by 40% and even regaining their historic capital Kirkuk.

Similarly if India also gets into situation where there is a major conflict between Hindus and Muslims, the Sikhs should remain neutral as our people did during the 3rd battle of Panipat. For a nationless people like the Sikhs, neutrality is the best policy but also being ever ready to seize an opportunity when it presents itself.

Yes kurds done well but we have to remember should a caliphate khalifa remain in iraq then it will expand its operations to other countries as they already have large enough sunni populations that resent their western backed dictatorial leaders. Kurdistan would get enveloped by the caliphate very easily in 5-10years as it was done in the past. Then that salafi jihadi caliphate influence will spread to countries as far as pakistan and indonesia. Then those jihadi fighters will be in their hundreds of thousands if not millions, they will have heavy weapons including nukes and they can easily overcome the defence forces of nations that oppose them (ie indian kashmir, turkistan east china will be targeted).

An inevitable clash of civilisations will take place between hindu india and islamic world sooner or later, it will be bigger and worse than batter of panipat as back then the muslims were not as large in number and not very organised as they are today. They were different regional rulers fighting for their own kingdom and empire which is why you had afghan ruler ahmed shah abdali forces fighting the persian muslim shia empire and the sunni mughal empire too aswell as the hindu martha empire and kingdoms. Sikhs were able to capitalise on the warring invaders by capturing punjab from mughuls after persian nadir shah and afghan abdali had weakened it by their invasions. Sikhs would not be able to take on a global caliphate united islamic superstate with 1 ruler dictating his forces where to attack. Even if all hindu's were to convert to Sikhism to fight the islamic salafi sunni takeover it would be too late by then.

This is why Islam should not be seen as something as you can forget and live with hoping it goes away or doesn't bother you or your kind in the future because it will. Islam is an arab supremacist totalitarian religion and the most muslims are prepared and taught from birth to spread this ideology. If people want to oppose its takeover they need to be of anti-Islam mindset because islam is anti-freedom, anti-womens rights, anti-human rights, anti-tolerance of others and anti-humanity. Giving any space to Islam will soften up the nation and population for its eventual takeover which is why the west and Europe is worried and there is a huge rise in far right win groups and parties making political gains.

We also need to remember ISIS and its khalifa caliphate is being allowed to come to power under the westerns governments backing of sunni arab states (like saudi arabia) supplying it resources and manpower. There is a very game being played, and we will see the outcome of the game in coming months.

Sikhs should prepare ideologically and play close attention to geo-politics because it does impact everyone's lives. instead of living a westernised liberal carefree lifestyle, our people individually need to do a SWOT analysis of current state of affairs for our kaum. We are not in a good place at the moment, we dont have our own nation state or government. We hardly have any inspiring english speaking parchaariks, we let our brothers sons daughters and sisters drift into useless non-sikh lifestyles and ideologies without letting them realise why they are Sikhs and why gurbani is beautiful and its humanitarian, peaceful and loving message needs to be protected against those who want to crush it by force.

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- The militant jihadist group Islamic State in Iraq and Syria killed dozens of Syrian troops and workers during an attack on a gas field in central Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, killed 270 Syrians, including national guard members, security guards and employees, after storming and seizing the al Shaer gas field in Homs province on Thursday, the group said. The death toll could climb. Another 90 security guards and employees are missing, the anti-goverment activist group added.
Word of the slaughter in Homs came after ISIS violence against Christians and other minority groups in Iraq in recent weeks.
The Islamist militants, now occupying large regions of Iraq and Syria, have issued an ultimatum to the remaining Iraqi Christians in the city of Mosul: accept Islam, pay extra taxes to Islamic Sharia courts, or face "death by the sword."
Refugees risk all to escape ISIS
The letters from ISIS were distributed in recent days to the dwindling number of Christian leaders in Iraq's second largest city.
The message added that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has agreed to allow them (Christians who do not agree to convert or pay extra taxes) to leave the northern Iraqi city by noon Saturday (5 a.m. ET). After that, the message said, "the only option is the sword."
But the international organization Human Rights Watch says the extremist group is already "killing, kidnapping and threatening religious and ethnic minorities" in Mosul and other Iraqi cities and towns.
"Being a Turkman, a Shabak, a Yazidi or a Christian in ISIS territory can cost you your livelihood, your liberty, or even your life," Human Rights Watch Middle East Director Sarah Leah Whitson said in a press release issued on Saturday from Duhok in Iraqi Kurdistan.
Human Rights Watch has documented violence against these ethnic and religious minorities, reporting that tens of thousands of families have already fled their communities near Mosul in fear for their lives. Village residents have described horrific attacks by ISIS fighters, who "seize local men and pillage homes and places of worships," Human Rights Watch said.
The militants have summarily executed villagers and Iraqi soldiers alike, slaughtering a group of soldiers in Tikrit last month. Human Rights Watch also said ISIS extremists reportedly killed 40 Shia Turkmen, including children, in four communities in Kirkuk last month.
Militant ISIS jihadists, a Sunni-dominated al Qaeda splinter group, have overrun large parts of Iraq and neighboring war torn Syria over the past months in a violent Islamist insurgency. The militants want to establish an Islamic state, or so-called caliphate, across Sunni areas of both countries.
ISIS already controls hundreds of square miles where state authority has evaporated. It has ignored international borders, establishing a deadly presence from Syria's Mediterranean coast all the way south to Baghdad, making its goal of a caliphate state seemingly within reach.
The magnitude of the crisis is clear from the sharp rise in the death toll over the past two months.
At least 2,400 Iraqis died in violence in June, according to the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq. Of those, the United Nations said more than 1,500 were civilians, including 270 civilian police officers, and almost 900 were members of Iraqi security forces.

It is clear from the players that this is not a jihad but energy and resources grab which Gaddafi warned people of before his death . WIth oil / fossil fuels and rare metals, uranium resources set to finish within the next century everyone is scrabbling to grab the remaining untapped reserves.

I say it is better to stay free-floating and train up on survival, medical, botanical, physical craft, skills because land masses are going to change, wars, anarchy, food shortages, world wide. But then that being tyaar bar tyaar anyhoo on the kaum level .
