Isis Has Designs On India: Experts

Recommended Posts

NEW DELHI: The rise of al-Qaida offshoot Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) may look like a distant problem affecting the Middle East with Indians merely caught in the crossfire. But it's a danger far closer home than it appears.

Security establishment sources said ISIS, which is being suspected to be behind the kidnapping of 40 Indians in Mosul, has global ambitions and aims to create an Islamic World Dominion of which even India would be a part. A recently released world dominion map by the outfit had parts of north-west India, including Gujarat, shown as part of the Islamic state of Khorasan, a caliphate that the outfit aims to achieve.

Sources said there were inputs of jihadists from India fighting in both Iraq and Syria and some of these would eventually return. They would then become the link between the Middle East outfits and the Indian subcontinent. That is a time, sources said, India needs to prepare for. Already, the outfit is being touted as the most efficient, organized, dangerous and ambitious terror outfit in the world.

Even al-Qaida, which has terrorized the world for over two decades and is the estranged ideological guru of the outfit, looks a pale shadow in front of ISIS given the quick advances it has made in a short time. With India on its radar, even if distant, the signs are not good, sources said. Ajai Sahni, executive director of the Institute for Conflict Management, said, "Strategy is a function of capability. We are not focusing on events in the Middle East because we have no capability to influence them.

Earlier too, people have been kidnapped in the region and we have had to depend on third party negotiators. All global jihad will have India in its crosshairs. We can ignore them only at our own peril." Sahni specifically warned of the threat from Indian jihadis fighting in Iraq and Syria.

"These are battlehardened terrorists who will one day come back. Moreover, their antics and successes will inspire many more here as we already see them drawing inspiration from events abroad," he said. The growing ambition of ISIS can be gauged from the fact that from a small group owing allegiance to al-Qaida, it took the shape of Islamic State in Iraq in 2006. Within years, as the Syrian crisis escalated, it metamorphosed into Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and is now known as Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. The addition of the word Levant expands the group's aim to capture Syria, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Cyprus and parts of Turkey.

They can try all they want. But first they will have to go through a HUGE war in the middle east with the Shia. The Mahdi Army militia of Al Sadr and the Hezbolloh are all taking up arms and ready to fight these Sunni extremists to the end.

I think Europe will have more problems than India for now. 500 Brits(mostly Pakistanis and Bangladeshi) are in Iraq and Syria fighting for ISIS and Al Nusra.

This is why the Khalsa should have its own army regiment......

Vast majority of khalsa would get crushed by even buzdil brahmin sena and bandar shiv sena alone these days. Khalsa used to be battle-hardened warriors rushing into the battlefield against jihadi's and hindu hill raja tyrants. Nowadays they a joke carrying around swords, spears, 10ft high dastaars and one or 2 old hunting rifles.

The only Khalsa's who would give any enemy of Sikhism a run for their money is DDT lads they have the mentality required for modern warfare. When you want to create a generation of battle hungry khalsa's you need ideological grooming from young age to fighting age so that they are prepared to physically fight for Sikhi. The jews have this system in place with their people getting regular military armed modern training in isael even offering it to dual citizens of jews based in europe, the muslims have this system in national armies and non-state actor militant terrorist training camps in places like waziristan and iraq/syria/yemen/somalia,saudi arabia, etc. The hindus have their own Bajrang dal, shiv sena, RSS para-military brigades and have many hindus in the indian national army. Buddhists have their own sena's that are now even attacking muslim minorities in burma and sri lanka. Atheists and Christians have the Vatican and various soldiers in western governmental armies.

Sikhs first need to establish a proper sena of their own like back in the days when they had akali sena and various other para-military outfits. Without a vanguard of modern military trained Sikhs then the kaum are sitting target for the enemy present and future.

we need to become sants first then sipahis. Sant-Sipahi. In a sense I am saying we have to be spiritually devoted to Sikhism before starting up a Khalsa regime. Now we don't exactly have to be a sant but in a sense working towards it while being physically ready for war. Some Pakistan General said Sikhs are the best soldiers on the world they have both mental and physical endurance. We need to keep both in balance to show what the Khalsa is. You are right Sikhs should have their own proper sena but in India that isn't going to happen. The Indian army has its own Sikh regiment and those Sikhs are brainwashed. India will never allow Sikhs to have their own private separate military training. We would have to do it in hiding but they label us as extremists or separatists. Just think about it how much the world would be inspired if they saw the Khalsa taking down ISIS or capturing kidnapped children. We would inspire others to be part of Khalsa and become Sikhs. That is one way of parchar basically think about it. We Sikhs aboard in India can make a private army but first we need to become rehitvaan Singhs and Kaurs and train ourselves. We are indeed behind in modern warfare. I wouldn't be surprised if Sikhs have to fight on a religion side for example the Hindus against the Muslims in the future and then get betrayed again. We are in a bad state in defending our kaum as of right now. Our Sikh panth is getting eliminated without a single bullet by the Indian Gov't! This can lead to a bad future possibly if we can't unify, cooperate, and execute plans for the Panth.

Please explain...

I explained the situation above but I just mean by having the Khalsa as a army regiment maybe as a government sponsored army that at least lets what the Khalsa should do to help around the world. For example for Khalsa Aid they are doing a fantastic job. They are spreading awareness of Sikhi to people who never heard of the word Sikh in their life. This can bring people into SIkhi and bring awareness about Sikhi greatly. It can be done but will it be planned?

Sikh militants of the Khalistan movement were good fighters. They did not lose because they were not good fighters but because of the shear number of traitors amongst their ranks who worked for the Punjab police. Second reason, puraatan Singhs had unity. Sikhs of 80s/90s did not. Take Punjab police for example, they were all Sikhs too, yet they were the biggest enemy of the Singhs. So it was our traitors and disunity that caused our defeat.

But you are right that Sikhs need to establish senas of their own who should have para military training like the American militia movement. So when the time comes, they can defend their people against terrorists belonging to ISIS and even RSS/Shiv Sena. It seems everyone has protective senas of their own except Sikhs.
