Shocking! Its Time To Get Together And Stop Thi Nonsense

Recommended Posts

The attached leaflets are being published with an Hindu Mahant kathaa to be carried out inside the Gurudwara. This is BIG Insult to the gurudwara and our Guru’s Preaching. Need help to stop this.

This Gurudwara’s President is close to the councillor of New Ham and is known to be carrying out such activities in the Gurudwara to make money.

Please help to expose and stop this insult through media and sangat.

Once the gurdwara's were known as centre's for learning for Sikhi and for sikh political activism.

Nowadays they are known for money hungry gurdwara corrupt committee's selling out Sikhi to profit on a range of promoting anti-sikh activities.

  • Allowing of Anand karaj's with non-sikh partners
  • annual budget spent on making gurdwara's bigger, or more decorated or party halls made to serve meat and sharab and music. Rather than much needed parchar for local sangat
  • Allowing other religions (ie hinduism) to use the gurdwara for their own preaching and promotion at the expense of Sikhi parchar.
  • Beadhi of Guru ji and lack of care or protection for saroops
  • Beadhi by hot headed morons fighting within gurdwara's if you disagree with someone's political or religious viewpoint speech. So no one wants to discuss anything controversial and the panth is stuck where it has been for past years.

There needs to be a clean up of this mess and fast. But it all starts with liberating the the sri akal takht sahib whose authority has been weakened by badal and his cronies and in turn the gurdwara committee's around the world around not obeying any commandants the jathedhar makes.

Sikh youth need to wake up. Our elders have made gurdwaras but haven't made that next step with educating sangat. I really believe sangat should stand up and talk about the bad issues of gurdwara committees. I really believe gurdwaras are a place where people just listen to kirtan, don't apply any teachings or don't even learn anything, eat langar, and go back to their original life. The big pocket-money Singhs need to get kicked out and allow real sevadaars to take over. Your right we have to look where is the main core of the problem and that directs back to akal takht. So your right on that point. Akal takht has weak authority over gurdwaras overboard. They said no anand karaj for non sikhs but gurdwaras go on and do it. What can Akal Takht do about it send Singhs over? We have to deal with it ourselves.

    • This is where the vichola needs to get involved, and family!
    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
