Dehli Police pull over and assault an innocent Sikh driver with impunity.

Poor chap was subsequently arrested and who knows what torture took place in the police interrogation.

It is a sad state of affairs in any place where the civilian population fears the authorities instead of respecting them.

I live in Delhi and still have friends there. From the ground, the Sikh in question parked his moped in the wrong area and refused to remove it. Thus the actions of the police. It is highly visible that the illiterate cops blew the matter out of proportion, but there is no need to vilify the incident as an 'India against Sikhs' episode. In Punjab Sikh cops 'descriminate' (to borrow your term) against their own brethren. Is that indicative of a nation versus minority plague or a spontaneous corruption infection?

What you should be saying is that there IS a need to vilify the incident with far more descriptors INCLUDING the one given here.

When the locals like you accept unprovoked brutality like this on civilians, then what hope is there for change.

i think people need to realise every time this sought of incident happens it does to necessary mean discrimination against Sikhs, this sought of stuff happens on daily basis up and down the country to all sorts of people. its just the disgusting way police deal with situations. no need to throw a religion into it, unless the up loader of the video is looking for views and arguments. people living in slums in India are forced to evacuate by the authorities on a daily basis, and then their slums and shacks are destroyed, they aren't Sikhs but it still happens to them. women are man-handled by the police all the time , especially in rural areas and places like Bihar. orphans and homeless children who work in the streets are treated like stray dogs by the authorities and just shooed off wherever they go .none of them are Sikhs. its quite sad actually, don't think India is ever going to be poverty or corruption free, ever. its the poor that suffer most.

Exactly. Just because the victim, in this case, belongs to a minority does not mean there is a need to call for WW3.

It is not a question of acceptance but one of detection. For all we know the cops might be in the right and this guy commenced with pushing and shoving until they intervened. Come to Delhi rather than watching pseudo-Khalistani films you might see the reality is different. Yes Sikhs were killed in '84, but that does not mean that every time a Sikh is in the wrong and is prosecuted we cry 'genocide'and 'Khalistan Zindabad.' Secondly he was taken to the local Police station and subsequently fined. The poster has added unnecessary emotives by implying he was 'tortured.'

These are the same Haryanvi Jaat policemen who had stood by while Sikhs were being massacred in Delhi.

This video proves Sikhs need to be always Tyar bar Tyar instead of immersing themselves in modern worldly fashion. Remember that video few years ago of that police man taking off the dastar of that Singh, and he did nothing. It is our weakness that we allow this to happen. As Jathadar Ranjit Singh jee said, that Singh should have hit back as that would have taught them a lesson. Unfortunately, our people have lost their lethal instincts. This is all due to lack of Bhagti because with Bhagti comes Shakti and Bir Rass. Forget hitting a Bhagtiwala Singh, one can't even look into their eyes which is overflowing with Tej Prataap.
