The land that the Israeli was 'assigned' was inhabited by many thousands of families who had ties to that land they were simply swept aside much like Our Sikh and Hindu brothers in Punjab . Some career politician draws some lines and destroys and robs innocent people and you feel you should admire the further theft of land by the American and British sponsored usurpers?

Being a small minority doesn't mean you become bullies and tyrants because of your self-perceived 'chosen people' status.

I would like to know did you congratulate the Indian Govt for stealing Punjabi territory and carving it down to a sixth of it original size / a third of its post-partition size in the sixties ?

You say that the Palestinians should be happy with what they are left with ....sorry but if you have been robbed once and then are getting robbed again and again in daily gradual erosion of boundaries by settlers bulldozers with what should you be happy ?

The Palestinians receive billions every year from the USA, EU and UN. What have they done with these billions? The world needs to move on from these people, they were offered their own state in 2000 but they want the destruction of Israel and nothing less. There are hundreds of millions of people in a worst condition than the Palestinians yet the Palestinians get the limelight about their 'problems' and the others are forgotten by the media. The Israelis are no less, they are financed by the Americans and it is only the American money and weapons that is keeping Israel in existence. These Israelis know that with time and the changing demographics of the US, more and more liberal and socialist leaders are likely to come in the wake of Obama and eventually the USA will realise that it is not in their interest to keep on supporting Israel and so the Israelis are reaching out to countries like India. They have no qualms about protesting against Palestinian terrorism and yet keep ties with terrorist states like India.

What the Palestinians have gone through is truly sad.

You have to remember that the Palestinians were such humane people that they actually opened up their land and homes to Jews escaping Europe because of the horrors of Nazi Germany. The Palestinians gave them sanctuary from those horrors in the name of humanity. The way that the Jews have then turned around and kicked the very people that opened up their hearts for them is truly shocking. Not only shocking but obscene the way that they are now acting in exactly the same way as the Nazis that persecuted their grandparents did.

To get away with this you have to first demonise the 'enemy'. Demonise him and her to such an extent that you no longer see him or her as a human being. When the first Jewish settlers in British Palestine started hanging British people from trees in terrorist attacks and murdering Palestinian civilians Albert Einstein wrote a letter to the New York Times in which he denounced the barbarism of Zionism. He called it a slur on the memory of Jews that perished in Europe. The man was right.

If AI had written that letter it would have been after 1946, so the first jewish settlers could not have been carrying out such acts. why would the first jewish settlers have attacked british interests when they were given the balfour declaration years earlier?

Well, it wasn't the "firstly" that was untrue, but the rest of your post about the angelic palestinians looking out for their jewish cousins was equally untrue.

nevertheless, why do we, two Sikhs want to debate this when there are very pressing concerns regarding our our religion and community?
