Can someone explain what all the hoohaa is about?

Agreed. Why so how much of an issue?

Granthi Singh and Sewadars stood up to bow before their worldly masters - BADAL's (Harsimrat Kumari Badal and Sukhbir Chand Badal) - who control SGPC/Darbaar Sahib and appointment of SGPC staff. If they don't bow before them, they will loose their jobs.

Well said, the Badals are thugs, they want to be treated like Gods and they make sure of it.

They have no Satkaar for Maharaj.

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguu ji ki Fateh,

It is a very big deal ...Guru ji di darbar vich Parmeshar sabh toun uccha hai, koi Manukh should not be acknowledged by rising up . Even Indira Gandhi was lectured on this point by Sant Kartar SIngh Bhindrawale

SANT KARTAR SINGH JI KHALSA BHINDRAWALE

line2.jpg

He was invited to Ludhiana to lay a foundation-stone of the Guru Tegh Bahadur Charitable Hospital. When the Sant reached there, about fifteen to twenty people got up from the gathering and wanted to garland the Sant. Seeing this the Sant came back. The organisers went behind him and asked for the reason. The Sant replied, "To get up from the gathering and to garland an individual in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the direct insult of our great Guru." On this all the organisers apologised. All of them were sent to the congregation by the Sant and he himself went alone. First of all he bowed before Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He told them that none is greater than Sri Guru Granth Sahib, does not matter he may be on some very high official position.

The 300th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur was celebrated on 7th December 1975A.D. in Ram Lila Ground, Delhi. There was a gathering of about 22 lakh people. Everybody got up when Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India came there. It was only Sant Kartar Singh Ji Bhindranwale who did not stand up and kept sitting. He condemned it in strong words from the same stage. Certain people spoke from the rostrum and said that Smt. Indira Gandhi has established relationship with Punjab. The then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi said, "The same Delhi Darbar which had martyred Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur is bowing towards him on his 300th martyrdom day."

The Sant spoke after Smt. Indira Gandhi. He started his speech with the slogan : I may sacrifice my head but not Sikhism.

He said in his speech, "In medieval period Rajputs used to get bounties after giving their daughters. Today this will be a curse on the Sikhs if they follow them suit. Therefore none should give his daughter to such a person who has himself insulted his hair." He said the following lines from the Rahtnama 'One who gives daughter to a Sikh and does not take anything, only he is my Sikh and would go to heaven.'

In an other sentence the Sant said, "We want to ask Indira Gandhi, who has managed the throne of Delhi for you ? If you have come to bow before Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur this is not a favour to anybody. Had Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur not sacrificed himself, some Muslim might have been on the throne of Delhi, who must have been circumcised. There would have been Islam on every side and Bibi Indira might have under some veil.

"If the Prime Minister sacrifices her head as many times as there are hair on her body, even then she cannot pay off the debt of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur's sacrifice. Howsoever big a Prime Minister might be, he is not bigger than our great Guru. Such a big Prime Minister should bow before Sri Guru Granth Sahib and we should not get up to greet him."

Have we forgotten this great Gursikh's bachan ... if those Grathis don't trust in their TRUE master what hope is there that the ordinary folks will stop doing the same.

well there you go, thats why Punjab is in the state that it is today. the drugs, messed up people, flashing beacons on cars, it all comes back to these individuals. its quite sad actually. such a huge place of importance, constructed and organized by the gurus themselves for humanity, and this is what happens inside! another thing I don't understand is the VIP treatment there, such as, how everyone waits in the queue but certain people just get to go inside using the VIP lane. apparently gorreh get to go through straight away! the whole place was designed for equality yet these sought of things still happen, these sought of things go against the whole concept behind the temple, what a shame....

These Badal Dal people and before them the Congress have ruined the Sikh institutions for financial gain and to please the central Government so that they remain in power. The Darbar Sahib , Akal Takht, the Akali Dal and SGPC (that were set up to defend Sikh rights) have been ruined by the Badals and Barnalas.

Video is definitely NOT FAKE and unedited.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
