Rajbir Singh, 10th class student at Guru Hargobind Public School was sent to the Principal's office after he greeted his teacher, Ravroop Singh, with Waheguru ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh. Principal, Palwinderpal Singh beat him up with sticks and broke his hand and fingers.

Rajbir Singh told that the previous principal never had any issues with students greeting teachers with Fateh, but the new principal wanted students to say "Good Morning" instead of Fateh.
