Do Animals Have Souls

Life is eternal nothing dies but changes form. There are no should and should nots. That is for an individual to decide. There are religion that say humans have dominion over the creatures that creep and the birds that soar and the fishes in the sea. Such is the level of their arrogance. They use this to justify their cruelty on other species.

they say it is the word of god

does this then mean that the number of souls are increasing? as number of living things is increasing?

you have to know that their are other planets and we don't know what life forms must've died their, also some species on earth are becoming extinct, so where do you get more souls(more people are blessed with human birth, but not more availability of souls), it's a very long process. Their are actually less "independent and separate souls" than their was 10 years ago.

Its not even written by their prophet and been edited multiple times by different writers according to their convinence. Lets not go there.

they maintain that it is the word of god, that is their sincere belief, it is a fact from their point of view

https://www.worldwildlife.org/species/directory?direction=desc&sort=extinction_status here's a list of endangered species also 99% of species are extinct. So that leads only to the 1% we still know(what you can see physically alive), we were probably one of them before. http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Sikhism_%26_Astronautics evidence of life outside of earth according to Gurbani; and slowly science is discovering extraterrestrial life. The holy sciriptures say, there are 8.400.000, species of lives , they are too many, isn´t it ? And it also says: baee parapat manukh deh hooriya, Gobind milan kee ehe teree bareeya ....

Creation is infinte ...so are the inhabitants in it. Even if one gets the knowledge of each specie, what will one get? Don´t you think brother, that if we are given this priceless human body as a blessing to realize Him, why waste even a second in other things , which will not lead us anywhere, rather farther from Him...

Instead, why not do saas saas simran of the one Gobind, that by with it´s practice, you will get all the gyan of the creation and much more .... even He Himself shall be revealed to you, then one becomes a Brahamgyani, such is His Grace.

Waheguru.

When a Singh rode a horse it may trample over a few bugs as well but that doesn't mean the Singh or horse committed a paap. If you intentionally step on an ant that's a sin. I can't remember which Mahapursh but they got mad at a Singh when they killed a scorpion that was in the way when they were building a rode.

I also heard in a sakhi that people who cut hair for a living are reborn as mountains. Mountains are a joon. It puts perspective on how long and horrible this chaurasi lakh cycle really is.

This is our chance guys. Let's go do some naam simran.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
