Hello, I wanted to ask how exactly does Nitnem change you? I used to feel something when I did paht, but now I don't feel like I have that experience anymore, I'm feeling discouraged.

You only stay engaged in your Nitnem when you continue exploring it. Listen to katha to understand more about what you are reading. Giani thakur Singh Ji DDT did a 31 hour katha on Japji sahib alone. I think the first 5-6 hours alone are spent just on mool mantar

As human beings we will never ever be able to fully know and understand all of the amazing knowledge dhan dhan Guru Granth Sahib Ji have given us through bani. All we can do is pray. Do ardas, say Maharaj sar na jana Teri! But please do kirpa on this murakh so that I can understand more.

Also if you don't have bani kant work on that. Some people say they have it Kant. But have it truly Kant, letter by letter.

Try doing bani in sangati roop. Sometimes you get more anand that way. Try reading through it really slow.

I was lucky enough to be able to here the katha of sant baba Seva Singh Ji rampur kherewale when they came to Toronto this year and one of the things they said quite a few times is "we don't recognize that our true purpose on this earth is to read bani and do simran. And until we recognize this how will our mind settle down and connect with bani"

Just keep pushing through. It gets hard sometimes. But it's those times we have to step back self evaluate. Self reflect and say what am I doing with my life. Is this what I want to be doing. What should I be doing. And what steps do I need to take to get to where I want to be?
