Did so called hindu promises guru teg bahadur ji if guru JI protect them and there religion from aurngzeb they will become sikhs?? I just want to confirm if this is real or fake story

No nothing like this happened. But after seeing the shahidi of Guru jee many of them were so inspired that they became Gursikhs.

Pandit Brahm Das : shardhalu of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Patshah Jee Maharaj. He was the one to whom Guru Sahib uttered the following Shabad:

ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਗਡੀ ਲਦੀਅਹਿ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਭਰੀਅਹਿ ਸਾਥ ॥

You may read and read loads of books; you may read and study vast multitudes of books.

ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਬੇੜੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਗਡੀਅਹਿ ਖਾਤ ॥

You may read and read boat-loads of books; you may read and read and fill pits with them.

ਪੜੀਅਹਿ ਜੇਤੇ ਬਰਸ ਬਰਸ ਪੜੀਅਹਿ ਜੇਤੇ ਮਾਸ ॥

You may read them year after year; you may read them as many months are there are.

ਪੜੀਐ ਜੇਤੀ ਆਰਜਾ ਪੜੀਅਹਿ ਜੇਤੇ ਸਾਸ ॥

You may read them all your life; you may read them with every breath.

ਨਾਨਕ ਲੇਖੈ ਇਕ ਗਲ ਹੋਰੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਝਖਣਾ ਝਾਖ ॥੧॥

O Nanak, only one thing is of any account: everything else is useless babbling and idle talk in ego. ||1||

He fell at Guru Sahib's feet and got rid of his arrogance.

Pandit Brahm Das' son Pandit Narain Das : shardhalu of Sahib Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee Maharaj.

Pandit Narain Das' son Pandit Aru Ram : shardhalu of Sahib Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee Maharaj. Later on his name was Gurmukh Singh.

Pandit Aru Ram's son Pandit Kirpa Ram Dutt : shardhalu of Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Jee Maharaj. He led the delegation of some 500 Kashmiri Pandits who came to Guru Sahib asking for help when Hinduism was nearing extinction in India. He later became Kirpa Singh and was among the Shaheeds at Chamkaur Sahib.

Pandit Aru Ram's second son Sanmukh Das Dutt: brother of Pandit Kirpa Ram Dutt, he was later Sanmukh Singh and another Shaheed at Chamkaur Sahib.

Pandit Triloki Nath Raina: shardhalu of Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Jee Maharaj. He was also among the 500 Kashmiri Pandits who came to the feet of Guru Sahib. His son took Amrit in 1699 and was named Amolak Singh. Akali Kaur Singh ji was a direct descendant of these Guru piaare.

These are all I can think of right now. You will find several Kashmiri Sikhs today who have surnames/goths similar to what these Singhs had prior to taking Amrit. As far as the promise is concerned, not too sure, although it wouldn't be a surprise as Johnny veer mentioned.

Most likely not a promise, but many "Brahmins" became Sikhs (I use the term Brahmin loosely), this could've happened because of the power of Visakhi on 1699.

I read that Pandit Aru Ram (Gurmukh Singh) was married to Bibi Sarsuti and so their sons were Kirpa Ram (Kirpa Singh) and Sanmukh Das (Sanmukh Singh). Bibi Sarsuti was the sister of Bhai Piraga who was a Sikh of Sahib Sri Guru Hargobind Patshah Jee Maharaj and was a Shaheed. He is mentioned in Bhai Gurdas Jee's vaaraan as well.

ਜੈਤਾ ਨੰਦਾ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਿਰਾਗਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਅਧਾਰਾ।
Bhai Jaita, Nanda and Piraga have accepted Word as the basis of all.

The background of Bhai Piraga was Brahmin as well. His father's name was Baba Gautam, and their family was from Kariyala, near Chakwal, presently in west Punjab (Pakistan). Bhai Piraga's son's name was Lakhi Das, Bhai Lakhi Das had a son called Hira Nand and Bhai Hira Nand was the father of Shaheed Bhai Mati Das jee and Shaheed Bhai Sati Das jee.

Bhai Mati Das jee's son Bhai Mukand Singh was also Shaheed at Chamkaur Sahib. And Bhai Sahib Singh (not the Panj Piara) who was the nephew of Bhai Mati Das jee was made Divaan by Dhann Dhann Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. Bhai Sahib Singh was Shaheed in a battle with Hatai Khan near the Beas and was cremated on the banks of the river.

Just shows that when SatGuru grasps your arm, he doesn't let go! i.e. all of your next kin, sons, daughters etc are saved in the long run.
