People Who Protest Interfaith Marriages At Gurdwaras

Recommended Posts

look dumb an insecure

9 out of 10 times it seems its males protesting a marriage between a girl marrying outside of the community makes the males protesting look like insecure losers

also how do you define who is and who is not a sikh

what if you have a male and female getting married both the male and females parents are practising Sikhs but the male getting married is an atheist and the female is a practising Sikh to an extent

then what are the rules are they allowed to get married

a lot of Sikhs getting married in gurdwaras are agnostics meaning they don't know if their is a god or not an really don't follow any religion now if you have agnostics getting married in gurdwaras but the parents of the agnostics are Sikh would you protest those weddings and prevent them from getting married

what if you have two people who claim to be practising Sikhs but drink booz go to clubs and don't know much about Sikhism can only name two gurus usually guru nanak and guru gobind singh ji and only go to gurdwaras for weddings would these types of weddings be banned to??

it just seems like people against interfaith marriages an who protest at gurdwaras are insecure men who only protest when a girl marries someone outside of the community

Firstly go and read what the translation of the Anand Karaj and the lawan are. Then and read Guru Gobind Singh Ji's 52 hukums, then read rehit maryada, then read akal takhts hukumnama on the interfaith marriage issue.

Your questions will be answered. The people protesting are not insecure, it's the people trying to have interfaith marriages to save face even though they know it's wrong that have ignorance issues.

It's very simple anand karaj is only for Sikhs where bride and groom both profess to belong to the Sikh faith. Don't agree go and get married in a registry office.

We would ask them to register at Sikhsangat.com and post their 15 questions per day.

That way, at some point, they would....

Mehtab singh by TRYING to insult me you have shown how dumb an insecure you are

Ciscosingh let's say interfaith marriages are banned in gurdwaras

Then why arnt their as many protests when a man from the community marries outside the community

As well why arnt their protests when you have you have a couple getting married who don't know anything about sikhi an don't follow it

An are more likely to protest when a girl marries outside the community

ghettosingh im not any of those insults you tried throwing at me but you probably are

if they did these protests to protect core values of sikhi then they would protest weddings of agnostics from the community getting married in the gurdwara and protest men marrying outside the community just as much as they protest girls marrying outside of the community

but when most of the protests are when a girl marries outside of the community

then its easy to understand in news articles of Sikhs protesting a girl marrying outside of the wedding why in the comment section you have

white guys and black guys make fun of some of the Sikh protestors for being extremely insecure low confidence for getting so jealous of a girl marrying outside of the community

if its about religion then they would be equally as angry an show the same attitude towards men marrying outside of the community an agnostics an atheists in the community getting married in front of the guru granth sahib

but if most of their objects are towards girls marrying outside of the community then then they may be acting out of insecurity an jealousy

What's the actual point the op is making ??

1) Is it about the protests being right or wrong ??

2) or is it about 'why protests for out of faith grooms are higher than brides....according to his observations'' ??

my answer to 1).. would be Yes the protests have to be made for people to take notice.

2) does it really matter that this observation has been made ??.....ANAND KARAJ is SACRED...and it is up to US to preserve the Guru's words.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
