People Who Protest Interfaith Marriages At Gurdwaras

Complex senstive topic

Really ? :wow:

'Complex' how ?

Christians and their priests don't let a non-christian marry a christian in their Churches. Why don't they see it as a 'complex' issue ?

Jews and their rabbis don't let a non-jew marry a Jew in their Synagogues. Why don't they see it as a 'complex' issue ?

Muslims and theor priests don't let a non-Muslim marry a muslim in their Mosques. Why don't they see it as a 'complex' issue ?

I'll tell you why....Its because it's NOT a complex issue. Our Sikh rule about not allowing non-Sikhs to make a mockery of our religion and marry in the Gurdwaras is exactly the same as the rule Christians, Jews and Muslims have. This rule is the worldwide normal and moderate rule.

Twisted western logics?

So a Parbandhak Committee has no obligations?

For the record...I am against mixed marriages.

You appear to be against logical thinking.

There is a Sandesh/Ardesh issued by the Sri Akaal Takht....under what circumstances does a committee still allow these weddings to be booked?

Try addressing my point rather than simplistic comments, showing your own narrow understanding of the real world. Its more realistic/achievable to enforce a rule/law by targeting the providers of a service than the users.

That's why laws exist.

Anand Kharaj is for Amritdhari only?

Lmao....lets talk about twisted logic shall we?

see my post , where did i exactly agree with mixed weddings?

i am against manmatt ,

so you want to say if a kid goes and gets liquor by false means, and drink . so its not the minors fault?

are you blind , this is exactly is twisted western logic i am talking about .

I agree 100%.

So why are the couples to blame?....surely its our "priests" that have allowed it, no?

how is it not right?

anand karaj is for amritdhari only, and that too they are giving leverage to be sikh to get married

if 12 year old get to try liqure teach him a lesson , its better he understands at lower age then going after the vendor

stop using your twisted western logics

And where did you get this bright idea that "anand karaj is for amritdhari only."

Go and read the Sikh Rehat Maryada on Anand Karaj and ask if you cannot understand whats written there.

If you look back on original rehitvaan sikhs , they would give choola to the baby on birth or the very least while a child, the child would be brought up with the rehit uppermost in their lives and they would then take Amrit later once they understood what is expected and could maintain rehit. So logically everyone was amritdhari by the time Anand Karaj was a thought, that's why it wasn't an issue . Over the past century and a half dhils have been introduced into our rehit , very few babies are given choola at birth thus very few are brought up in rehitvaan lifestyle, and finally even fewer take full amrit; our women were excused from rehit of dastar because they too became dhilian in rehit (personally I feel that is where we created the damage as mothers were not strong/knowledgable in Sikhi so, being the first teacher of the future generations we should have stopped the rot then), the Men became complacent about having amrit and so it continued in a downward spiral to today.

Those few lucky ones who still are living the rehitvaan lifestyle are being Sikhs in the fullest sense by actions not just words, which is after all The Guru's way, may we all go back to being fully on board with Guru ji and prosper in this age of Spiritual Darkness

p.s. to be Guru's sikh you had to be rehitvaan and take charan di pahul , charan di pahul= Khanda di Pahul thus to be sikh one has to give our 'everything'- tan, man, dhan to gain the Guru's kirpa.

Before we go any further, I just wanted to say that if you do marry someone who's not a Sikh, most likely that has come through your hukam, in the same way they most likely weren't born into a Sikh family. What you can do is try to assist the lost soul to find the Guru. End of story.

I am from the Ravidassia community/religion.
Apart from a very small minority we do not consider ourselves sikhs. We are all clean shaven and do not believe in the five Ks. We have the SGGS in our gurughar and have always used the anand karaj for marriages. Is this going to be an issue now?

What about if you drink alcohol and trim?

Either Anand Karaj should be ONLY for amritdhari sikhs or open to all otherwise all your maryadas about it are racist.
