Popular Post InderjitS 1,299
Thirty years have passed since the pogroms of Sikhs in India. During the first week of November 1984, police, politicians, and government leaders organized and implemented pogroms against Sikhs throughout the country. This news footage takes us to refugee camps where survivors display raw wounds, search for missing loved ones, and share accounts of the killings. The reporter discusses how Sikhs themselves had to arrange for food provisions, and were living in squalor, bathing in gutters, and lacking medical care at the camps. “We are homeless. We are family-less. And moreover, above all, no safety. We can’t imagine how we’ll survive ourselves in this India,” recounts one survivor to reporter Ken Rees. Ken Rees continues: “Mothers, whose children had been killed, wept as they spoke. This was the story of just one 6-year old boy we met in the camp.” A translator told Rees, “Petrol was sprinkled on him and set on fire.” “He was set on fire?” repeated Rees, “Why?” The translator answered: “Because he is the son of a Sardar Ji [a Sikh man].” The news host and news reporter both speak to the Indian government’s attempts to restrict news access, by shutting down satellite communications or prohibiting reporters from entering the refugee camps or Trilokpuri, one of the worst sites of the massacres. Thirty years later, none of the architects of these killings has been held accountable for these gross human rights violations. The Indian government continues to deny survivors their rights to truth, justice, and reparations. On this anniversary, inform yourself by watching this video and reading Ensaaf’s report from 2004, Twenty Years of Impunityhttp://www.ensaaf.org/publications/reports/20years/. This report analyzes thousands of pages of previously unavailable affidavits, government records ,and arguments submitted to the 1985 Misra Commission, established to examine the massacres. The report reveals the systematic and organized manner in which state institutions perpetrated mass murder in November 1984 and later justified the violence in inquiry proceedings. http://sikhsiyasat.net/2014/11/07/rare-footage-and-survivor-interviews-recorded-just-few-days-after-november-1984-sikh-genocide/

Mann-Sahib 2
ASinghKhalsa I really understand how this video was produced - Was it produced whilst the attack was happening or After it happened. If AFTER the attack then what does this mean? That Santji escaped from the Harmandir Sahib? If so what does that signify? Please share and respond....

ASinghKhalsa 75
Sant Ji is very clearly using PAST tense in the speech, saying an attack has happened. It could have been produced during the Indian Governments attack, however witnesses, history and the western media itself says a complete news blackout was opposed during the attack. Press would definetely have not been allowed to remain in or even report on the attack (proof-there is no video to date made from inside the complex of the attack). Also, as gunfire cannot be heard, it can be concluded this is not from Sri Darbar Sahib and due to past tense being used, Sachkhand Vasi Baba Thakur Singh Sahib Jee's bachan come into play, this video is of Sant Ji after the attack. Were they scared? Never! .... as per Sant Ji's bachans, after the attack follow Baba Thakur Singh Ji's command as my body may not remain before you... str8 after the attack Babaji states Sant Ji is NOT shaheed....they were commanded by 5 singhs to leave battle to find another day... also Sant Ji told Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma, and others to leave and fight another day. Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar also left and became shaheed 1992, Giani Thakur Singh Patiale Vale left on 5th june and at moment of writing, continue doing parchar... list goes on those who left had more seva to be done as written by Akaal Purakh Vaaheguroo....a singh once lukd into Sant Ji's room and saw Sri Guru Hargibind Sahib Ji Maharaj talking to Sant Ji.... Sant Ji always maintained that the morcha was started due to Guru's hukam.... so therefore Guru Maharaj has kept his warrior gupt to fight another day.... are we ready now for Raaj? Is our Nitnem tip top? Naam Abhyaas? Seva? Lets get tyaar bar tyaar and get Maharaj's and Mahapursh's kushiya... Baba Thakur Singh Jee said, those who believe Sant Ji is chardikala, they will be in chardikala... those who do not, they will remain without full kirpa.... No haters- its a human right freedom of expression to share thoughts.

ASinghKhalsa 75
the talk about the environment does not matter.... Sant Ji is saying very clearly in simple punjabi, the attack which has now happened (meaning already taken place)... Sant Ji would not leave a battle to give an interview in a special place which apparently appears to be sound proof during heavy gunfire

MAJHAIL_JATT 14
Rare Video - Sant Jarnail Singh Jee speech AFTER june 1984 massacre codenamed operation bluestar damn don't know what to make of this.... how come we never seen this video until now and where is the rest of it? it seems true that sant ji survived the attack on harminder sahib. how come there isn't more coverage on this... this is huge. he could've easily went underground in some remote pind. some pinds are so remote only dirt roads that cars can barely manage to get to. hsingh8963 374
Got a little more info. Seems that the video was one of the last few before the blackout BEFORE bluestar.
MAJHAIL_JATT 14
Brothers i respect your viewpoint that perhaps Sant Ji is alive and in hiding as obviously Ajnala Taksal and SYFB have also expressed the same on occasion. However, I totally disagree. I fully believe that Sant Ji became shaheed in defending innocent unarmed civilian worshippers (along with other brave shaheeds of the Panth) from Indira's politically motivated "Bluestar" Genocide. Sant Ji would never have spent the last 31years hiding out in some pind or in some mountain hideout near Sri Hemkhunt Sahib as our Hindutva opponents want us to believe. Sant Ji as the human rights campaigner they were would have tirelessly devoted every day in the last 31 years to fighting the ongoing silent Genocide the Sikh Panth are suffering from in relation to drugs, female infanticide, poverty, illiteracy, biraderi, alcohol and cancer. the background to me illustrates pind koti background. he used past tense twice. you don't hear any gunshots or anything else leading us to believe a military operation is underway. doesn't add up.
