who said about cast? as long as its not in same gott

I know gill who have married gill, there are loads and in punjabi culture you know who you are related to many generations back. That is only due to back in the day family stayed in the same village and those who moved out we're known about. No and future will be harder in west as no one keeps that much in touch with ancestral village.

Oh what about when true Khalsa principles in practice I.e no goth only Singh? Or Kaur?

Guess you would definitely have to marry out of your locality i.e. nanakey dadakey , i think the world is big enough to avoid intermarriage if those rules are used and you maintain good relations with family to know who they are.

watch your mouth before you call panj pyaare hindu .

bhai chaupa singh chibbers rehatnama go read it

there is a reason why we are restricted to marry in same family tree

1) we are considered blood related as we carry similar or same genes

2) you can already see the birth defects in animals who are inbred .

stop opposing maryada

It was common practice in the Hindus and Muslims to marry in the same baradhari -gott that's why rehitnama is so specific against the practice Guru ji always told us to do things which are good for us , trust the Guru always.

The Arora and Khatri Sikhs I've met around London etc not only marry within their same surname and extended family but the Arora ones even marry their own chacha, thaya, pooah and mammeh's sons and daughters. In fact, the exact same first cousin marriage custom as the muslims.

jab daaj di bimari lagi to save paise from going out of the family people do this nonsense , It makes no sense , first cousins are just 50 percent different max ...they are as good as sister and brother did you never wonder Punjabi language has no word for cousin...because we say sister and brother...otherwise go into long specific list of the relationship. Next you'll be seeing such people marrying to Guru ji like mad Muslims have been doing to their daughters making brides of the prophets i.e. pseudonuns.

And this is one of the reasons why it is important to know a potential spouses background. Sikhs live in a bubble who claim we should not look at last names and learn about the family background. Sikhi doesn't say put a blind fold on and just ask if the other person is a Sikh. Don't be naive, we live in kalyug not satyug.
