Gurudwara Opens In Johannesburg

Stop saying two things at the same time Daily Mail. On one hand you said Sikhs did not have career options and joined the Brits and on other hand they joined to fight injustice. They had no other option but to fight as they had joined the Brits as their loyal soldiers.

As I said earlier we cannot re write history. And am just thinking that how Sikhs then who fought so long against the Moghuls earlier just gave up the fight against the Brits and chose to be their servants.

Veer ji

I had a think about it , koi vi anhonee cheej nahin hondi, sare bharamand Waheguru de hukham te chalada: it was written that they, those Sikhs were to take amrit and because it was the sharat placed by the Raj to join the troops that was the mechanism...surely that one fact annihilates any objection we could ever make , they became Guruwale and inspired others to follow suit. They could have stayed home and never had amrit and they would have never inspired the current generations who look at their dastars and uniforms and read of their deeds of bravery and say , 'I want to be a true Gursikh like that, not scared of death, trusting Waheguru with every breath'

It's not all bad ...

It is not that easy because we know what happened in past and very easy to judge. Nobody at that time knows what is going on. It is divide and rule policy played by goray and they contained all negative part of their rule. Same trick gandhi played on restricting knowledge reaching to sukhs when she attacked darbar sahib - played old darbar sahib recorded kirtan at normal time so that ppl think all is ok - while darbar sahib was under heavy tank attacks.

What homeland are you referring to?

And please do not bring Guru in this as

Our Guru gave us everything to be rulers.

And not join the enemy ranks. Imagine

Sikhs joining the Moghuls as their slaves

to oppress other races like how the

British did.

]

Can you please stop confusing yourself?

Omg, where did you get this connection

with laying down of arms and Guru's

message to Bhai Kanaiya. Little knowledge

is really dangerous. Better to admit to

your mistake rather than making more by

trying to justify earlier ones.

J Singh, you come across as very arrogant, obnoxious and rude at the best of times. So in response to your posts I ask how much do you even know about Sikh History? Going by your posts OUR GURU JI joining and marching with Mughal emperors will make Guru Ji and the Singh's in their presence SLAVES? HOW DARE YOU!!!!!

As you state little knowledge is really dangerous. I have quoted your posts so you can not squirm yourself out. Just like you did in other threads, where I have proven you are a liar! Please acknowledge what I am on about or admit to your mistake rather than making more by trying to justify earlier ones, ( sound familiar), btw a google search may not find out what I am talking, but having read BOOKS and having knowledge of Sikh history you will know.

Just being an online pseudo Sikh will not help. Pretending to be something you are not, BTW many others on OUR forum concur, with that statement.

Proven me a liar, really, when did you do that? You do not even how to comprehend simple posts and go about making up statements that I am a student in a school or something.

Just proves how thick you are and how difficult it is for you to understand what is written.

HOW DARE YOU STATE THAT OUR GURU JI JOINED AND MARCHED WITH MOGHUL FORCES.

Bahadur Shah pleaded for Guruji's help in his war of succession against his brother Muhammad Azim.

DO NOT EVER DARE TO DISTORT SIKH HISTORY.

I was not referring to this. But as you bought it up, bhadur shah begged for assistance which Guru Ji obliged. So re read the post I quoted. Your Fourth line to be exact. re read the posts you made, don't try to squirm out.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
