ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ :- ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ‘ਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਤਹਿਤ ਅੱਜ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ “ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫੌਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਟਡੀਜ਼” ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਦਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੜੀ ‘ਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਥਾਪੀ ਗਈ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ. ਹਰਬੰਸ ਕੌਰ ਸੱਗੂ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇਵ ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਘੇ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਸੱਗੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਅਤੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ‘ਚ ਬਣੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ‘ਚ ਸਿਰੋਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਲ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਮਾਸਟਰ ਤਾਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦਾ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰਾਂ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਵੀਂ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਅੰਤ੍ਰਿੰਗ ਬੋਰਡ ‘ਚ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੋਜਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਦ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਡਾ. ਸੱਗੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਥੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨਿਵੇਕਲੇ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫੋਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਟਡੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਫਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਵਲ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਸੋਰਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ‘ਚ ਸੰਪੁਰਣ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਖੋਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜ ‘ਚ ਜਾਗਰੁਕਤਾ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਮੇਟੀ ਅਹਦੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਇਸ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਚੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਉਕਤ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਰੂਪਰੇਖਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ‘ਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਜਾਂ ਜਾਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਖਤਾ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਿਨਤ ਸਦਕਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ‘ਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਂਟਾ ਰਹਿਤ ਵਰਤ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਡਿਜ਼ੀਟਲ ਲਾਈਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ, ਵਿਚਾਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਹਸਤ ਲਿਖਤ ਬਾਣੀ, ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ, ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੋਰ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ‘ਚ ਕਾਇਮ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਦੂਤ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਤੱਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਵਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਖਤਾ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਧਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂੰ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਕ ਇਕੱਠ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਹਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ 225 ਤੋਂ 250 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਮਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਡੀਟੋਰੀਅਮ ਵੀ ਬਨਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੱਤਵੰਤਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉੱਘੇ ਨਕਸ਼ਾ ਨਵੀਸ ਬੋਬੀ ਬੇਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਬੀਨ ਮਠਾਰੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਰੂਪਰੇਖਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਜੀ.ਕੇ. ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਣ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੀਬੀ ਸੱਗੂ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨਵੀਂਆਂ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ‘ਚ ਫੈਲੇ ਭਰਮ-ਭੁਲੇਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੀਲ ਦਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ‘ਚ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਇਥੇ ਮੁਹਇਆ ਕਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਵੇਕਲਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਤਨਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਿੱਤ, ਮੁੱਖ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕੁਲਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਢੋਕ, ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਸੀ, ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਠ, ਜਤਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਲਡੀ, ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਵਲੀ, ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਰਲਾਡ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਲੀਗਲ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੋ-ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੌਲੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।

I would also like to promote Gurmukhi script as it is being marginalised and is our Guru ji gift to us ...is it so bad to want that ??? P.s. you assume a lot about me and Christmas I said I have a tree didn't say I use it , didn't say I go to mass, sing carols, or anything ...I just said it existed in the loft because it was a demand by my in-laws for their photo shoots with grandkids ... nothing more, nothing less. Christmas doesn't exist ...

Sir , I am from Non Punjabi speaking Indian Family , Do you think I have no right to be sikh, FYI , only one of the 5 PYARE was from punjab and Guru Gobind singh Ji has written least of his poetry in Punjabi . Just enlarge your vision , to spread message of GUru Sahibaan , we are trying to translate in different languages , & what you are talking is just the reverse of it , BRAVO!!!!

Just enlarge your vision , to spread message of GUru Sahibaan , we are trying to translate in different languages , & what you are talking is just the reverse of it , BRAVO!!!!

Veer ji,

I don't know where exactly you are drawing conclusions from , but Gurmukhi lipi can and does represent more than three languages in Guru Granth Sahib ji , and is also used to represent Farsi in Dasam Granth and Sanskrit and BrijBhasa . It is a tool to allow ordinary people access to the bani despite the original language script differences, I think it is a wonderful gift which allows those who don't have extensive linguistic skills to access more knowledge. But I am sorry you think the way you do , because it seems you feel that my appreciation of gurmukhi is interfering with your sikhi somehow. I didn't say anything about punjabis or jatts in fact i personally share my Guru's advice and naam with all my friends irrespective of creed, colour, nationality and they have always appreciated the dialogue. Bani should be in Gurmukhi, but anything else should be in the language of the area, for example the article refers to DSGPC, and is referring to New Delhi so Hindi is fine why should it have been in Gurmukhi? I mean using that logic we should not post in English on this Sikh forum and everything should be in Gurmukhi!
