Why Do Amratdhari Girls Wanna Move Out?

Fateh Ji, this is something that is bugging me a lot, I am 28 years old amratdhari singh and last year I started to look for a partner, I had to marry within cast as this was the only the issue my family would have, so I met with elder singhs and they found me a Bibi, all was well and when the family's sat down all I asked was that I would like to live with my parents and look after them, in the past I looked after me Bibi who suffered with dementia and was bed bound to cut a long story short I had to quit my job and studies to look after her full time, eg the reason why I wanna look after my parents down the line. So the girl I met agreed to this we set a date and now one year down the line I'm looking at a divorce! My wife stopped my sisters coming to the house and didn't do much around the house the cleaning was done by me as I was the only child in the house I did it to ease the stress of my mum,I felt as if my inlaws filled Her head in with crap and they even told me I do to much for her! So was it a bad relationship for her? in the end she said I hit and was abusing her, I think she always wanted to have my attention which in real life is virtually impossible, as things escalated on and I didn't give in to her demands my wife accused me of hitting her! But when I offered to put my hand on a gutka to prove that I didn't she later said I didn't do the things that she accused me of Doing, in my head I think she wanted me to herself and in the long run I would have had to move out as my family was angry with her for causing problems for no reason? Anyway sorry for the long message and rant, hopefully maharaj will bless me with getting remarried and if not il always have my guru with me.

Your right singh but If someone accuses you of a thing that can get you sent down then what can you do? In a society wheres courts would believe the women over a man, not only that if I was ever to get remarried I would like my slate to be clean whereas walking around with domestic violence allegation on me

Veer ji,

In this country UK , if a woman brings a false accusation and it is found out she will get a case on her for wasting police time and probably more . Anyways, keep up with your Banis and your good character , people know you for that and will automatically dismiss her silliness . We had similar 'mudslinging' going on in our family and the female was also from India , maybe it's the software they are loaded up with these days , the person she accused has NEVER been known for that kind of behaviour with anyone so everyone knew instantly what her game was. Her justification was that her bhabhi told her in-laws are like this and like that , but the truth was in her situation the inlaws were good people who honestly treated her better than own kids. Truth will always come out...stay in chardikala

She is not true singhni. Don't worry guru Ji is with you. Make your relationship more strong with guru Ji. Please keep yourself in adole avast. True amritdhari bibi cannot break her relationship. Both husband and wife keep support to each in every where in good and b d times.

Guru fateh chore veer.

Better to move out anyways and have your own space. You don't have to live miles and miles away, but just having that little bit of separation and your own room helps alot.

My thinking is same as your Pritpalsingh1 in the way that I'd like to be there to look after my parents. But with us, my mother (who is amritdhari), comes out with typical silly punjabi Sass stuff and eventually it just got too much.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
