I think the only way to make Sikhi even stronger is to make Sikhi influence our punjabi culture more. Cos Bhangra shows r great for punjabi culture but do nothin for sikhi. We should push eachother to act more sikh then punjabi

Also, the report is totally bogus as there is NO research stating 45% of Muslims marry outside the faith. In America, according to research (Pew and other researchers) have found inter-faith marriage amongst Muslims to be around 15%....and guess what? *majority* of these "interfaith" marriages aren't even interfaith under Islamic law. Because a Muslim man marrying a non-Muslim woman is considered "Islamic marriage" since the children HAVE TO BE Muslims. (Although I do think that mother being a non-Muslim has a definitely effect on upbringing)...

Do you REALLY believe that Muslims will accept their children to be 'non-Muslims'? lol..We all know that out of all peoples out there..Muslims are most hardcore in keeping their faith/culture and passing it down to next generations.

(Although these rates are very healthy for normal human civilization, compared to West..these rates are little "higher" than general population..hence you see a tiny percentage increase in Muslim population in West over 20 years.)

my borough has had to increase capacity in ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS plus expand the secondary schools downwards to create new primary school places to try to cope with the birth rate explosion. what's changed in the past five years ? the comparative birthrates average western family birthrate is 2.2. kids that also is true for middle class asians of non-muslim descent , the average birthrate of muslim family's is 3.75

Iran is a multi cultural and multi ethnic country which has a big Kurdish, Arab, Baloch, Azeri minorities, yet the Persians have made Persian the national language. In Afghanistan, the Pasthuns do not even exceed more than 45% of the population, yet Pashto and Dari are the national languages. But Pakistan is the only such country in the world which is a majority Punjabi country yet they have not given their own mother tongue any status. Instead they have adopted a foreign language Urdu which belongs to their enemy country India of the region of UP/Bihar.

I'm not questioning what Pakistan does, that is their internal matter. But you came here trying to show Pakistani Punjabis as being superior to Sikhs and even had the audacity to say that they are the future of Punjabi people even though they openly abandoned Punjabi, Punjabiat and are Punjabis only in name. Pasthuns are proud to be Pasthun, Sindhis proudly speak Sindhi, Mohajis also are proud of their Urdu language and heritage, the Baloch are one who refuse to blend into the Urdustani culture till now. But Pak Punjabis sadly have no such pride in their language or culture which they have abandoned for the high culture of UP/Bihar. I feel pity. Hopefully one day Pak Punjabis will wake up from this identity crises and come back to their Punjabi roots because at the end of the day you ask a Mohajir/Pathan/Baloch what he thinks of you, he will call you Punjabi not Urdustani. In case of Pathans and Baloch they call Pak Punjabis as Daalkhors. So why deny and sacrifice your own identity for others?

Either they shape up and remove religious extremism .... which is not easy to do, because if it was easy it would have been done already.

They will have a war with every other section in Pakistan. Like Baluchis vs Punjabi, Sindhi vs Punjabi, Mohajir vs Punjabi, Pashtun vs Punjabi.

Again this will not harm the Punjabis in Pakistan to a life-threatening extent. Punjabis of Pakistan will still carry on business as usual.

But if their terrorism against foreign countries continues, which will continue because they have no option and they are ruled by military.

Muslim Pakistan Punjab will be taken out. And so will 1/3rd of it's population.

90 million people will not hold 1.5 billion people to ransom.

Take a wrong step and you will be nuked out of your wits. Multiple times. Every living creature, Goat, Buffalo in Punjab will be finished.

What you do back is a cost that we are willing to bear. But will not let you escape.

For a Pakistani you don't know much of your own history. It was because Urdu was thrust upon the Bengalis by force that was one of the main reasons that your country broke into two. So this doesn't tally with your statement above. Your unity excuse is as bogus as your attempt to portray yourself as a Sikh. In every country around the world there has never an attempt to unify a country with diverse languages by having an official language which is the mother tongue of less than 8% of the population. It is always the language of the majority that becomes the official language. This would be akin to a country like Switzerland making its official language Italian which is spoken by 10% of the population rather than German which is spoken by 65% of the population or French which is spoken by 23% of the population.

The real reason that the Punjabi Muslims have such a low regard for Punjabi is because Punjabi has become synonymous with the Sikhs. This is the case because the Sikhs have been the ones who have given their mother tongue its due status. It was the Sikhs in the late 18th century that nearly succeeded in getting Punjabi as the official language of Punjab during the British rule. The Punjabi Muslims supported Urdu and the Punjabi Hindus wanted Hindi. Even though there are the same number of Punjabi Hindus in India, ask any non-Punjabi Hindu of what the first thing he thinks of when he hears the word Punjabi and he will nearly always say a Sikh.

What's wrong with having Punjabi as the official language within the province which is the Punjabi's homeland? How will that affect unity?

Punjab isn't the "province" of Pak like indian Punjab is of india.

Pakistani Punjab is "power-center" of Pakistan. Whatever happens in Punjab, happens in all Pakistan.

Just a little example: Current ruling party of Pakistan won elections in Punjab only...ONLY one province.

Guess what? They formed their own government on federal level with massive majority...lol
