It is nice book in detail describing social and political environment of the time , under which the Great Guru had to function towards motivating and empowering the underprivilaged class to rise and fight to gain the right place in the history .Also reasoning why Guru Gobind singh ji deserves the highest place in the history of India

Iv read it, the author makes guru ji sound like a desh bhakt. I understand how the author was talking about indians being physically and mentally enslaved by the muslims and how guru ji was waking them and encouraging them to fight back but the author made it sound as if guru jis prime purpose was to fight for india and indians.

Its guru jis life from a hindu point of view basically

this is to diminish Guru Sahiban to be just like everyone else .... and to think SGPC was printing and handing this trash out to new abhilakees after having amrit.

Thats the whole reason why i downloaded and read it in the first place because some sikh sites were going on about how great the book is and how the Hindu author loved guru ji and how he praises guru ji,  bla bla

this is how we shoot ourselves in the foot by just copying what others say is good ... I am always wary of motives of nonsikh authors even academics these days  and follow the money  and always ask myself what do they get out of saying this ? who does it serve?
