Critical State Of Sikhs In North Punjab- Changing Faiths

Recommended Posts

Is Brahmwaad causing Sikhs to write caste in their matrimonial choices?

Is Brahmwaad causing Sikhs to discriminate against Dalit Sikhs?

Stop blaming others. The fault lies at home. If we treated the so-called lower castes as equals, the Christian missionaries wouldn't have any converts. We need effective parchar and to stop any caste practice. Until then we will be vulnerable to missionaries and deras.

yes it has caused it because people have believed that old crock that we came from Hindus and the fact that for generations now the elders haven't let go of jaat paat ...because they haven't had amrit and believed wholeheartedly in its transformative power. Sikhi is not and never will be punjabi in culture it is above regional differences..thus sikhs have to world citizens , polymaths, polyglots, vidvan anything less is pure slave mentality .

There in lies the issue our panthic organisations, jathebandis etc are corrupt from top to bottom. Gurbakah Singh's Morcha has proven this, the silence and lack of support from panthic leaders was deafening.

Why have we not compiled a list of the corrupt Jathebandis and leaders and questioned them directly ? If they provide no answers all sangat should boycott them and blacklist them. Financially and in terms of don't allow them the stage at any Gurughars. Until the corruptness is removed and quality parchaar is reinstated there is no chance for forward movement.

Someone really should make that list now.

agreed. but I was talking about Punjab on who is really going to start effective parchar there

plenty of Singhs and Singhnian can start here get strong and post katha kirtan doing online parchaar, bombarding Indian/World kids with Sikhi knowledge so they recognise them before they do circuits of different countries , we should make it like a set cycle one wave of parchaar after another supported by trustworthy parchaariks in India to slowly but surely erode the stone headed ignorance of the people . Besides we can have good ties to locate translators here of other languages on this small island rather than the massive land mass that is India. We need to subtitle EVERY old katha of Maskeen ji,Sant ji, Sant warym singh ji, Sant Isher singh jiand all the countless gursikh jewels in our panth. We also need to transcript audios and translate them too, what the fake committees have failed to do we can do because Guru ji is at our side always at each step.

The fault is not with Brahmwaad but with Sikhs: no one is putting a pistol to your head and saying "only marry someone of your caste." Sikhs are practicing the caste system even in Western countries...is there brahmwaad there as well? We will go nowhere till we man up and stop the caste system in our families and personal relations.

until we spell out that is beadbhi of Guru ji's amrit and Bani to do this, and we ensure that amritdhari sikhs mix it up more , it will not stop ...

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
