proactive
The Badal's chumchay like Chawla and Majithia tried to blacked Jarnail SIngh's name with accusations that he has taken money from Sangat abroad and used the money to buy properties. Obviously those that themselves have misused Gurdwara funds think that everyone else is also a chor like they are.
Jonny101
I've heard that Badal did not campaign very hard in Delhi this time because secretly he wanted BJP to lose because his BJP allies in Punjab are acting very confident and independent of Badal and are even entertaining thoughts of breaking away from Badal since Modi's electoral success. Plus Modi and top BJP leaders ignore Badal when he goes to Delhi for anything. Arun Jaitly the finance minister had given Badal a flat refusal when Badal went to Delhi to beg for money when Modi won elections.
