Go to your local gurdwara find out when is next amrit sanchar is and go around that time to speak to them take your parents with you. If it's urgent find out if you can speak to local gyani ji at the gurdwara.

You should also take hakumnama from Sri guru granth sahib ji and deeply reflect , contemplate on it with full openess, receptivity, with your intuition(surti) or gut feeling not with condioned mind.

Hope everything works out for you ..Good luck.

The very first words in the very first sentence in the very first post in this thread say it all to me.

Is this really whats become of us ? Are we really now a society whereby a daughter and sister feels pride instead of shame about telling the world about her 'boyfriend' ?

Trust me, your parents have already been disgraced in society due to the fact that they've got a daughter that carries on with international boyfriend / girlfriend relationships. I don't see how their reputation can sink any lower.

Oh wise one, judge appointed by the smiter himself, take a chill pill!

Thugger any chance b) might apply to yourself also?

At the end of the day we base our convictions on what we understand to be the truth, we can easily be misguided. .

Bhenji, i agree with neo the best thing to do is approach the wisest gursikhs you know and ask them to guide u based on their experience of gurbani.

U say ur parents say ur disgracin them coz ur marryin a "lower" caste, u shud tell them that according to the stupid hindustan caste system, jatts and ramgharias r both lower caste. I assume that tellin them the caste system is anti-sikh, is a waste of time,so anotha thing to throw at them is, they shud b happy ur bringing home a sikh, n not disgracin them genuinely with a muslim or hindu adhmi. Tell them to think that atleast their grandkids will b sikhs. Things like this really really pee me off man. These tribal obsessed mugs shud spare a thought for those parents whom have brought home a gangu/sullaahh, n thus lost anotha generation of kids.

'Jatt' and 'Ramgharia' are not castes. The term Jatt simply describes the amalgamation of rural peoples who existed outside the caste system of the Hindus and were animated by some sort of tribal nationalism rather than caste loyalties. It is an ethnic group. Likewise, a Ramgharia is a descendant of a member of the Ramgharia misl. Most Ramgharias happen to be Tarkhans, but they don't have to be.

Perhaps a more learned member of the Sangat could clarify why exactly these two groups appear to have become known as castes when in fact they aren't?

My digression aside, a Jatt Sikh should still be allowed to marry a Ramgharia Sikh.

Just find a jatt keep your parents happy. Problem solved there are many other fish in the sea. Even though sikhs dont believe in caste but a lot of people still do. Your parents been with you for so long by your side allow making them sad.

Jatt and Juliet all the way!!

Yes OP, just follow this sound advice.

Marry a Jatt in order to appease your casteist anti-Sikh relatives, shun the man you love because he is a Ramgharia, and spend the rest of your natural life screaming on the inside.

A recipe for true happiness.

At least then u could kindly leave this site free of your posts where u laugh at the rape of innocents?

One troll should always listen to another.

Now that everyone knows u are a Hindu Jatt troll why dont u spare us the continual bs in your posts?

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
