I agree with akali fauj

In sarbloh Granth it talks about kes as kakaar. There are many sources that say led is kakaar for example suraj parkash, gur kian sakhian, gurbilas etc...

This is AKJ thinking. Punj kakkar does not include keski. I can't remember which Granth, but it's Sarbloh Granth Sahib or Sri Dasam Granth Sahib that list the Punj Kakkar; keski is not listed as one of the Kakkars.

The reason we should keep rehits as they are is due to slippery slope and leniency. Slippery slope might be a logical fallacy but it exists in the real world especially when passing down traditions. In fact women used to wear dastaars before and due to leniency now some people question whether women are allowed to take amrit.

The slippery slope goes in both directions. Either the meaning behind the the rehat is completely lost and Sikhs do it like robots and pick and choose(like malfunctioning robots) or they disregard the meaning behind the rehat and stop practing it. I don't fit in either of these groups. I don't support either of these groups although i would lean more towards the group who does it for the fact of doing it at times. Reason and logic should not be disregarded and a person would have respect for rehat when and where it applies.
