They showed some violence against the people but yet did not show Guru ji Confronting or changing Babur's heart and attitude ...because it may offend certain sections of the community, then from what somebody who saw the movie claimed that the incident with throwing water to the sun and to Punjab was not show either ...for same reasons ...why make a film if you are scared to show Guru ji true colours?

On the other hand while many of us are objecting because they have shown a character in motion of Guru jee, many Kala Afghanist/missionaries are offended because Guru jee is shown performing miracles which goes against their atheistic philosophy which says Gurus were unable to perform any miracles and were just ordinary human being with nothing special about them.

he means historical events such as the murder of 30,000 innocents by Babur at that time are not being covered in full effect and Guru Nanak's full frontal condemnation of Babur to his face is not shown because of some pretext of being PC and not offending Muslims , truth is only a person without a heart would object so why be afraid to show the Master's true thoughts and words on the matter, it would help sikhs and others to realise that Sikhi has always been about speaking up against tyrants from the start not just with the latter Guru Sahiban, as some claim that Sikhi was militarised by them... No Guru Nanak Dev ji was the orginal revolutionary, he was imprisoned for it and set to mill grain by hand as hard labour, but as he was deep in bhagti/dhian of Akal Purakh the mill was turning by itself this was witnessed by the guards and reported on back to Babur . He then realised his deep mistake and released Guru ji , Guru ji explained how a King should be ...and this changed Babur deeply

problem is we as humans cannot capture the essence the purity, the depth and breadth of the experience of being in Guru ji's presence , we are just kidding ourselves ...and the things is we are helping people catch hold of the crutch of idols and tasveers again which is going against Guru ji's work. We should put our efforts into joining people with the bani not images.

No one here nor anywhere else thinks that it is right that a very small minority is saying that they will get violent. If you view the video. It is very peaceful. If you look at how sgpc is trying to deal with this it's very peaceful. The Nihang Singhs put out letters, and made videos...

The problem is this movie is getting support from people who are to lazy to teach their kids about sikhi or they don't are for parchar.

This is probably deserves it's own thread but i'll put it here anyway to put life into perspective, we are debating a film that will be forgotten about in a few months while in the real world this happened.

Kind of put's it all into perspective, a Raagi passes away doing what he loved, reciting the name of god and singing his praises.

KA missionaries are not men just passu wallowing in their own intellectual mire, let alone capable of judging anything that Guru Sahiban did or said . The folks I have talked to seem to believe that this 2 hour movie is going to miraculously make up for the years of neglect of their duties as parents of up and coming Sikh generations...it is not , just like chaar sahibzahidey didn't; in fact it belittles the sakhian and lives to make it palatable for some censorious majority non-sikh population. Twisting , obscuring the truth to make money ...now that's how we want to promote Sikhi isn't it.

When is the actual release date of this movie? Its true what they say not such thing as negative publicity if you want to market something. There's alot of Sikhs who cant wait to watch it, I for one would like to see it myself now.
