Punjab Shiv Sena leader Harvinder Soni has been shot and seriously injured by someone at Fish park, Gurdaspur on Sunday 12th April 2015.

Harvinder Soni, who was on a morning walk at Fish Park along with his security personnel, was allegedly shot at by an assailant, Gurdaspur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gurpreet Singh said. Shiv Sena leader Harvinder Soni was rushed in a critical condition to a nearby hospital, from where he was referred to a hospital in Amritsar.

Soni was fired upon by the assailant from a close range as he was walking. His bodyguard was standing at a distance when the attack took place. Assailant Kashmira Singh was arrested and was being questioned. Hospital sources said the condition of Soni was serious and he had been operated upon to take out the bullet from his body. Police have registered a case in this connection and further investigations were on.

The Shiv Sena leader was believed to be a key instigator of the violence in Gurdaspur in March 2012 which led to Police killing Shaheed Bhai Jaspal Singh. It is notable that Sikh sangat were holding a peaceful protest in Gurdaspur on March 29, 2012 demanding police action against Harminder Soni and other Shiv Sena activists for beating up Sikh youth and removing their turbans.

But instead of taking action against Shiv Sena leaders the police had opened fire on peaceful assembly of Sikh youth. A young Sikh student Jaspal Singh of village Chaur Sidhwan was killed in police firing while another Sikh youth Ranjit Singh was seriously injured.

Shiv Sena of Punjab is the most anti Sikh group out there today. They do Gundagardhi in the open. When facing a Sikh, they never fight fairly by facing a Sikh alone. They will call all their terrorist friends and attack the Sikh like a group of hyenas attacks a lone lion. In such a situation what can the lion do if he is all alone? They will burn pictures of Sant Bhindranwale and do special pooja for terrorist Indian soldiers who attacked Sri Harmandir Sahib in 1984 during the anniversary of bluestar Ghalukara. Singhs in Ajnala Taksal have taken upon themselves to teach these terrorists a lesson. If they catch any Shiv Sena terrorist doing his terrorist activity, they will beat him in full public view without mercy.

Looking at the photograph I'm just surprised the Indians have put a white bandage with one blood stain on the right around his chest. Getting all my information about India from Bollywood and TV drama serials I thought it was obligatory there to put a white bandage with one blood mark around the forehead. In every Indian TV programme or movie I have ever seen a patient is always given a white bandage to wear on the forehead and that white bandage always has a blood mark on one side. It doesn't matter where that patient is actually injured. Actually, it doesn't even mater whether they are injured or not. A lady goes into hospital to have a baby, and to show she's a 'patient' Bollywood puts a white bandage with one blood spot on her forehead. Man breaks his legs in a motorcycle accident and to show he is injured Bollywood wraps a white bandage around his forehead with one blood mark on the right hand side. So, what on earth is this hospital in the photo playing at ? Sure, the bandage has that one obligatory blood mark on the right hand side but the hospital need to launch an urgent inquiry as to how the bandage ended up around the chest rather than the forehead.

This is a very serious and sad news story. Very serious and sad that Indian bandage etiquette and tradition could have been broken in this way. Very sad.
