No you're bang on, Baba Ranjit Singh is particularly well regarded, if the NKJ can be said to belong to any Jatha it would be his.

They wear the garb of the Nihang Singhs, perform Kirtan in the manner of the AKJ, and Katha in the manner of the sants/nanaksar. They're like a Sikhi potpourri.

Is this jatha under the AKJ umbrella, or have they splintered off? Tough to keep up with these developments.

The nirvair khalsa katha believe in Raag Mala etc.

Who cares what jathebandi they are WITH or NOT WITH. They are doing Parchaar and Amrit Sanchaar's. More than what prople like me can do. Who needs the Indian Govenment, Shiv Sena or RSS to split up Sikhs. Were doing a good job at it ourselves.

We have the same Nitnem Bani's, Kakaars and most importantly Guru. What else mattters.

Whatever he has been accused of whether guilty or not, I personally have always remained distrustful of any such jathabandi or nirmala type group. NKJ are a mix of neo-Nihang dress-up, Nanaksar katha/ kirtan and AKJ beliefs - as someone said a potpouri designed to appeal to all and definitely a calculated operation. I'm even the same with the Damdami Taksal. However occassionally some spectacular induviduals shine from such organisations whereby you cannot help but feeling blessed by their darshan - like Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala Shaheed.

Sikhi and your practice of it is not difficult. Follow Guru Granth Sahib, read the history of the ten Gurus and Khalsa Panth to identify with role models, attend your local Gurudwara and partake in some Seva, be charitible within your community, earn an honest livlihood and adopt a family life - bringing children up to follow the Panth and remember what your parents, grand-parents taught you about Sikhi.

Indeed, and they aim their sermons mainly at the youth, the way they do kirtan reminds me of Jathader Sant Baba Mohinder Singh Ji Rara Sahib from back in the 80's.

Who cares? I think we should all care about the motivations, the integrity, and the honesty of people sitting adjacent to Guru Granth Sahib Ji, sermonising and passing on the wisdom and knowledge of our Guru Sahibs to us, the little people.

These individuals who tell us what to think, what to believe, and how to live our lives, should be held to a higher standard. If they truly are closer to God than the rest of us, then a little scrutiny will do them no harm. For if the vessel itself is not whole, then surely the liquid that it holds is diminished?

Or is it a case of "Do as I say, but don't do as I do"?

the man has to go crown court to enter his plea in july and you guys still think he is a saint...

for those wanting proof please contact his fb bookings number an ask...(specifically ask for booking late june early july) they will not discuss the case...let me guess hes doing a gupt jaap for world peace...

also those in his defence, why has he been hidden for several months..

ill find out soon which crown court he will appear at and ill let you guys know as public can sit in the gallery, you can hear everything inc charges...

for non uk readers, crown court is for serious crimes tried by jury

im not saying he is guilty but the cps never take on a case unless they have over 50% chance of conviction... but it is very difficult to convict in sexual offences cases...lets see what happens

on more of a sikh/spiritual note....make sure you are living truth as ultimatly you give your own lekah..no one else...no excuses...
