The Fact of Melatonin

Please make it a point to sleep early...

That´s how God has made us sleep at night and work during the day.

There is a natural cancer vaccine, which God has placed in each and everyone of us, in the form of a gland in our head called the Pineal gland.

It is considered to be the biological clock of the human body and it is also connected to the sight nerve. It is small like the size of a pea.

Everyday after sundown this gland starts producing a substance called Melatonin which runs in the bloodstream and protects the body from cancer.

This gland works only in the dark so if the eye is exposed to light the gland does not work because it thinks night has not come yet.

So if you stay up at night in the light, you are depriving your body from this daily vaccine. Our parents and grandparents who used to sleep early in the night and wake up early in the morning did not suffer from cancer or any of the disease we hear about today.

God has placed this daily vaccine in our body to protect us so let's put it to use by sleeping early. The gland starts working from after dark until two hours before sunrise.

Melatonin hormone is secreted by the Pineal gland, and as it trickles into the blood-stream, reduces the electrical activity between the brain and heart, reduces the heart rate, brings down anxiety levels, rebuilds the damaged tissues.

About anger, and tips to manage it gradually

If our anger is a tool and it is in our control, then anger is good.

But if anger controls us then we are in trouble, and the cause is also gone.

There is nothing wrong in using anger as a weapon, but if it is cutting our own peace of mind, then we should use wisdom to safeguard ourselves.

Here is some perspective on how to skillfully free one´s mind from the clutches of anger, and experience a balanced state of mind.

1 Give room for imperfection

The main cause of anger is that we want perfection. We get angry over imperfections, but the world does have levels of perfection.

Let´s give a little space for imperfection. When we give some space for imperfection, then patience  increases in us.

At home we keep a garbage can, isn't it? You cannot say, 'I won’t keep a garbage can at home'. Then there would be garbage all over the place. Anger is that garbage all over the house. When you give space for imperfection, you will put all the garbage in a can and let it be. Then you will see how you can manage your anger.
So exercise patience towards imperfections. It takes time for imperfection to become perfection. How can you give that time? When you give space for it. Then compassion arises and anger disappears.

2 Balance between expressing and suppressing our anger

We can’t express anger all the time, we will cause so much damage to ourself and others around us.

And we can’t suppress it all the time either, sometimes we need to express it otherwise we may explode.

So, we have have to strike that right balance between expressing and suppressing our anger.

Wisdom is knowing when to express it and when to suppress it.

3 Don’t get angry with yourself for getting angry

It will take quite some time for a person to get to that level where anger does not even touch us. It will keep coming in different shades and intensities.

When anger comes up, don’t start blaming yourself. One thing that can be very detrimental is you blaming yourself.

Keep moving ahead. If you get angry, never mind, just let it come and go. Instead of looking at the cause of anger, look at the effect it is producing in your body and keep relaxing your body.

4 Keep good company

We can never get cured of this disease called anger, if we keep the company of goons and bullies or let us say, consciousless minded people.

So, whatever we cannot do alone,  we can do it with the support of good company.

Company has many benefits and a few drawbacks too, as it can also take up a lot of our energy.

The positive effect is that good company gives us that much needed support to move forward.

Whenever our mind goes topsy-turvy, or if our emotions are going up and down, at such times the  good company will carry us forward. It will help us move through the situations.

5 Accept people as they are

One of the principles of conquering anger is: Accept people and situations as they are.

Accepting and creating room for others itself makes our personality much wider. If we don’t have that expanded consciousness, then we become very rigid in our outlook.

People who irritate you, in some way or the other can bring about the best in you. They can bring out the talents and skills in you.

See, when everyone around you is wonderful you don’t need any skill to handle a situation. It will only happen when there are people whom you think are unreasonable. So, take it as an exercise as much as possible.

The moment deep acceptance starts coming from within,  we will suddenly find the other person also changes.                    It is strange, but true. When we change, they also change.

6 Practice meditation

Meditation will definitely provide that much needed strength to overcome anger.

Practice it, and go deeper into meditation. You will feel the serenity and the change in you after meditation.

Meditation brings transformation.

Remember, any meditation that one may do, never goes waste.

HEALTH CAN´T WAIT

Jack Ma Billionaire founder of Ali Baba said : If you put bananas and money in front of monkeys, monkeys will choose bananas, because monkeys do not know that money can buy a lot of bananas.

In reality, if you put money and health in front of people, people tend to choose money because too many people do not know that health can bring more money and happiness!

Nothing is valuable but health is the most valuable!
Everything can wait but health can't wait!

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
