Reading through the SGSS, the goal of sikhi is to to realise the dasam dhuar. This is the opening which connects us to Waheguru. On page 122 it says Indri vas sach sanjam jugta. Gur ke shabd sada har dheyae eha bhagat har bhavneya. They control their sexual desires and thier lifestyle is the self discipline of truth. Through the word of the Guru's shabad, they meditate forever on the Lord. This devotional worship is pleasing to the Lord.On page 124 nao dhar thake dharat rahae. dhasve nij ghar vasa paye. Those who close off the nine gates, and restrain the wandering mind come to dwell in the Home of the tenth gate. The nine gates are our nine bodily openings which are the 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils. mouth and 2 excretory organs. When we can control all our senses fully then the tenth gate which is the dasam dhuar will open and we can sense waheguru. This is what we should be working for. If we give in to lust then we will have difficulty establishing a true and pure relationship with waheguru.

I can't close off my need to urinate and poo, because I'll die if that happens.

The other 7 are more than possible to get under control, but not the 2 I mentioned, lol. How do you control your breathing or hearing?

Waheguru ji, I'm going to go very personal here so I'm hoping this stays as gupt as possible. I'm assuming no one should be able to figure out who I am behind my username.

I've grown up in a lot of duality. Since I was a kid I've had huge exposure to spirituality and kaam. With Guru Sahibs kirpa I've been having spiritual experiences since I was a young kid. In innocence exploring SIkhi not only brought me onto this path but my entire family and even some of my relatives have taken amrit/walked onto this path as well. And for that I cannot thank guru sahib enough, I break into tears when I look at what state my family was in back then and what the state is now due to the love waheguru has showered me with.

But on the other side I've also been addicted to kaam since a young age. I started the act of masturbating at the age of 11. I have struggled through ups and downs trying to quit. I have tried to ask for help but have been turned down multiple times. Around the time I took amrit I thought I was safe because I had a long streak going. But I ended up falling back in a few months later. My state these past few weeks has been so bad that my entire life is in dukh right now.

For spirituality it's highly encouraged to save sexual fluid because this is a way of releasing energy through the nau darvajay. Even worse is that this is one of the lower nine doors. We need to focus on letting this energy travel up and be released at the dasam duar where we can enjoy the love with our husband lord. There have been times when my simran was at 3-4 hours a day and this act has completely destroyed me. My simran is at 0 right now and I'm just barely getting through nitnem.

So what I've learned is that you could be experiencing crazy things while doing simran, even things that average sikhs would never believe. But the vikaars are still a battle until you reach sacha shabad (anhad naad). I've also learned that it's an even bigger battle when your spiritualities at it's peak. We'll lose some and we'll lose some and we'll keep on losing until that one day we're free from the vikaars. It's a long battle but keep faith in waheguru.

I feel extremely bad for talking right now, this is a bit hypocritical because I'm in the worst state I've ever been in my life. I really want help but at the same time the only one who can help is wahguru.

Waheguru has blessed you with a lot. Even just being on a spiritual path is rare in this age of kalyug, I have a lot of love for you due to the fact you're seeking help because you care more about waheguru than maya.

I'm sorry but is the person seriously saying that the energy from our jizz needs to travel up and be released from the top of our heads? Waheguru, that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Where in Gurbani is it recommended that you should conserve your semen and repurpose it for spiritual advancement?

If you save your sexual fluid instead of releasing it every now and then, don't be surprised when your every thought is bent on lustful subject matter. I used to follow that sort of nutty advice once upon a time, and the problem became worse than ever. I guarantee that when you start masturbating once in a while to release pent up frustration, the problem will get much better.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
