Interesting post but definitely not coincidental around the parkash event time so meh! Seems dodgy! Plus I've been to the parkash event last year and am going again this year with family from Canada, looks great amazing sewa and brings a lot of sangat together. My kids learnt loads about sikhi last year, hopefully they attend the school next year because I want them to know about their religion and our culture. Such negativity, this isn't what our gurus taught us! I don't know much about this baba but whatever he is doing seems to be working in helping others and teaching kids in this day and age about Sikhi because I have never seen the place so busy or a school so great for our apney people! Defo recommend to others to come this weekend and check it out.

Yes typical to slander around this time. The school has done a lot for kids and my kids go there. The parkash is packed from what I see on TV? Will be going tomorrow with all my friends and family. Sad that sikhs have nothing better to do than bring people down who do good. Despite all the stories at least good is being done, more than what we do hiding behind our keyboards.

Not a comment on a terminally ill young lady allegedly swindled out of millions under the guise of a holy man allegedly promising to heal her of cancer, but some kiddies have learned their Panjabi alphabet in one of his schools, and that makes everything okay. this event called "Parkash" was designed to collect funds because Nanaksar Trust and school management did some dodgy deals where they lost money. To recover that this event was suggested. Everything from langar to the "pandal" is done by (sorry but "ignorant") sewadars. When its a paid service there are always issues/delays in getting the payment. They run series of meeting where different ways of collecting money are discussed which including asking children to carry buckets, staff being pressurized to get volunteers for donations sign-up. They ask for direct debit like many other shady charities for a continuous source of income.

yes there are lots and lots of people who would go there unaware of the concept behind these kinds of shows. But i think we should educate people.

You want to do charity- keep a golak at your house and put money in it what you would normally put into such events. Then do charity with your own hands. Just because of the ignorance of these people many many babas enjoy a luxury life style. Have a they worked hard themselves? NO

Nanaksar is increasing its presence in these rich countries. why? because when people are away from punjab they feel more and they "feed" more frauds.

Great that you have been to Parkash. On the pretext of teaching kids punjabi (which should be voluntarily done and should be free) how many kids did you see with collection baskets? Why do they need "golak" st the front?

Why do they ask for "collection" -again voluntarily whenever there is a program in school? Why do they have staff with direct debit forms running around asking people to sign-up with specific targets to meet?

Who are they helping- some kids in India and on by showing their pictures they are building their empire? All on donated land and huge donations from abroad by people like mentioned in the case above?

If you don't know the baba then why would you go and attend? This is what most people will do and are filling their coffers.

Slandering or trying to awake people? Ignorant sheeps following other sheeps and being targeted by individuals like Amar Singh Sidhu?

Please go and donate as much as you can. He needs lots of funds to help the poor and build more gudwaras for a bigger network and much bigger fund collection exercise.
