Any other parties that could emerge in future?

Highly unlikely. The media polarizes and confuses everything to lock into a binary situation, and the way campaign funding is done, and the laws that control it, pretty much have all small parties and independents locked out of politics.

Fundraiser Speedo Mick, who walks in just a pair of swimming trunks, was asked to leave a pub for being under-dressed during a charity trek.

He stopped at The Halfway House pub at Rame, Cornwall, in heavy rain on the trek across the UK and Ireland.

As he talks to Facebook viewers, a voice is heard saying: "I can't have you standing there dressed like this."

The pub's landlord said he had "never heard of him", but on learning who he was, went after him with some food.

Speedo Mick, whose real name is Mick Cullen, walked from John O'Groats to Land's End in 2019 and 2020.

He took shelter in the pub between Falmouth and Helston on his latest charity trek.

During a Facebook Live broadcast, viewers heard a staff member tell him he could not stay in the pub in his limited attire and his response: "That's fine. No worries."

Landlord Darren Briggs said: "We completely apologise. We did not know who he was.

"Because we have been so busy we have never heard of him."

He said they quickly realised who he was and went after him.

"We took him some food and he was very amicable," he said.

"If we had known he could have had anything he wanted on the house."

Mr Cullen posted on Facebook: "I'm alright you beautiful people, all's good no hard feelings here at all.

"It's not the first time I've been chucked out of an 'ale house it happened on the last walk too.

"I know, me, the fashionista in my designer Everton Football Club Speedo's!"

And he posted later: "It's been a difficult time for lots of businesses especially pubs, restaurants etc, they've had a terrible time of it, thankfully many have pulled through.

"Please for me, show them the love and support they need it."

A court in the southern Indian state of Kerala is due to hear a petition next week from an unhappy citizen who does not want Prime Minister Narendra Modi's photograph on his Covid-19 vaccine certificate.

The man, known as Peter M, wants a new certificate without Mr Modi's picture because, he says, "it violates my fundamental rights". Peter M is a 62-year-old right to information activist and a member of India's main opposition Congress party.

"By putting his picture on my certificate, he's intruding into the private space of citizens. It's unconstitutional and I'm requesting the honourable prime minister to stop this wrong, shameful act immediately," Mr Peter told the BBC on the phone from his home in Kottayam district.

"It's inappropriate in a democracy and of absolutely no use to the nation or any individual," he added.

Besides the personal details of the individual, vaccine certificates issued by the Indian health ministry carry Mr Modi's photograph along with two messages in English and local languages.

In August, junior health minister Bharati Pravin Pawar told parliament that the photo and the quotes were included "in larger public interest" - to encourage people to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour even after inoculation.

But Peter M argues that those who have already taken the vaccine are "already convinced of its utility" and the messages in the certificate are "no more than preaching to the converted".

"Mr Modi is not our first PM and this is not India's first vaccination programme. But the campaign against Covid-19 and the vaccine programme is being projected as a one-man show, a propaganda tool for the prime minister."

Peter M is especially riled since he had to pay for his own jab at a private hospital because "there was a long queue for appointments at government hospitals" giving out free vaccines.

"I paid 750 rupees [$10; £7] for each jab so why should Mr Modi's photo be on my certificate?" he asks.

The Kerala High Court has given the federal and state governments two weeks to respond. I reached out to two spokespersons from Mr Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but they declined to comment on Peter M's petition.

West London shoppers were both confused and furious yesterday after a Morrisons customer was snapped overloading his car with pumpkins.

A man could be seen filling his car to the brim with the orange squashes, which are being bought in their millions across the world for the traditional 'pumpkin carving' which takes place ahead of Halloween this weekend.

The picture shows at least 25 pumpkins in the boot of the black car, while in the trolley next to the car there were another 10 which appeared to be being transferred into the back of the car also.

In a post to a local Facebook group, one Brentford resident said: "First there were toilet rolls, next there was the fuel and now....Panic buying pumpkins at Brentford Morrisons!

"This is a 'JOKE', for all you sensitive sweethearts out there."

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
