Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

I will be sending a parcel to India (mainly clothes) from the UK, the weight will be approx 60 kg and anticipated delivery within 2 - 3 months by sea. Can you please provide details of reliable companies (reasonable price) that you may have used?

Never used any as normally send in relatives suitcases. But you can get a quote online, although I saw it in homebase.

Also try the Indian stores as they may do parcel service, but not sure about this.

Ive used myhermes to return clothing ordered online via an Indian store, but not sure how reliable the international delivery is.

60 Kg? wow, my wife tries to fit that much into one suit case! On our recent trip to Punjab she took 6 suit cases, cabin trolley, and handbag. I had a rucksack...LOL. As is the case with most Punjabi's she brought more back, luckily the staff in Amritsar were kind and did not charge us :respect:

do you have relatives that can take that much weight, there's always someone going be free :lol2:.

or try https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk/international/india. For about the same price get a ticket yourself and take 2/3 of the weight.

Thanks all. Shipping prices are shocking. I'm planning on going to punjab either this year or early next so will take the items myself.

Inderjit singh my wife got carried away with shopping at primark and alum rock (suits) hence the 60kg the original plan was to send the parcel and pack our suitcases full (to breaking point) when we go.

We flew via Jet you can take 23Kg x 2 each into the hold and 7Kg on board. Think Air India has the same allowance. Be careful with Jet though if flying to Amritsar from Heathrow, as the luggage has to be checked in at Delhi again (yes taken off the belt) before going to domestic transfers.
