I'd like to start of by saying I AM NOT YET AMRITDHARI. But I was aiming to take Amrit at my closest Amrit Sanchar in Malton, Ontario Canada Gurdwara in 2016. I would have loved to have taken Amrit at the Amrit Sanchar before this one, this year, but I waned to get in control of my Kaam Problem first.

Sadly, instead of controlling it, it is only getting worse day by day. I'm losing control of the problem, and to top it off, I've stopped doing Bani and Jaap. I live in a whitetown far away from Malton so getting Sangat is quite difficult. My parents like Sikhi, but think that Sangat is pointless, and a waste of time, and that I should focus on my studies. Whenever I do get Sangat, I feel like I'm getting some strength, but it is very temporary, and after a few days I go back to my s***** self. Please give me any tips you can and thank you Khalsey Jeeo!

Energy from sangat protects you from the negative energy of the world. Super important to not leave sangat.

Also, what you take in through your senses is what you feed your brain. it creates either vikaars or good clean thoughts. Studying is also helpful, b/c it’s an application of surti to something clean and positive. Study hard so you occupy your mind. it may also make things smoother between you and your parents when you go to sangat a lot.

Keep yourself busy. Don’t let your mind be idle, don’t engage in fantasies. Keep japping and doing paath. Use up all your excess energy - work out etc. Too much junk food acts as fuel for kaam.

You will probably still have problems for awhile b/c it is our karams from this janam and last janam that influence us. In the end, for most people, they do need to get married to control it and have a stable jeevan.

You can message on khojee.wordpress.com if you need further advice.

What town do you live I also live in a white town right now in chicago maybe I can give you ride once I'm back, I also have a friend who goes to malton most of the time I can ask if he can give you ride at least he will be able to take you sometimes, but it just matters which town, I also want to get back in the practice of reading bani again and one day eventually take amrit as well.
