Whats happening to you is not unique to you. This happens and will continue to for most people, and most men. Maya is constantly trying to distract you. There is two things. You natural human instinct/need and grisht jeevan which is acceptable. In this day and age and the things we see everywhere as a young man this will be something you will experience first as masturbation and many married men have this battle too so it wont end after marriage. 2nd there is the indulgence and kaam that is distracting you from you path. Looking at women, or men, and thoughts and actions associated with it and then ppl yurn to masterbation and others to other actions. This kaam is what gurbani tells us will rot and disease your body.

An ejacualation has an effect for the body from production of semen so effects on your sexual organs etc. The effects later on in life. Research it info is all avaialble online. So be consious of ur action.

Theres no point for guilt trips and feelin bad. What positive steps are you takin via reading bani and seva and understanding gurus message.

Guruji has made clear how kaam effects us all. You will find many sikhs will say its bad and its this n that to masturbate and its a sin. But we need to educate on whats goin on. Ur thought process, how ur mind works. Being concious and in control of action and thoughts and reading gurbani and doing simran all enable us to over come. But you must be truthful to your self in your journey. Take positive steps.y dont u start by reducing the frequency by half. Do if its once a fortnighly the work to only monthly.

I knw some ppl wont like this but as you do all other things and become ocnsious u will find a bliss greater than ejaculation. The Anand within. Then this will no longer tempt you

Masturbating now and then hardly calls for pesh. Almost every bloke does it, even those hyper-religious types (especially those hyper religious types I suspect) who pretend that they've never done it and never will

Suppressing the urge completely is unhealthy, it's whats causing you to have lustful thoughts all the time - look at the chaos that sort of extreme repression has wrought in the ranks of the priesthood of the Catholic Church.

When I attempted to stop masturbating altogether I had wet dreams every couple of days and lustful thoughts all the time. This only stopped when I started releasing the pent up frustration every so often. Do the same, and your problem will disappear too, I'm sure of it. So long as you don't use pornography and don't partake often, its not really a bad thing.

I'm sorry that the prevailing, fanatical Sikh orthodoxy has tortured you by making you believe that your harmless impulses are arch-devilry.

I wasn't going to write in this topic, but I am being dragged into this discussion because a gupt poster is using the same username as mine and one member has chosen to throw dirt at me. I believe this member shouldn't suppress his anger toward me and openly address what I write.

In my view, you shouldn't suppress it or do it. I don't know, how old you are, but the level of maturity sure does help with solving this problem. First thing you should do is read/listen Gurbani with the time to understand and submit to what is being said. If you are just reading for the fact of getting it done. Stop reading right here because everything else would be a waste of time. Gurbani is our base. It's the foundation which makes us stand before the biggest army and not even flinch. Today the army conquering your mind is kaam. Read Chandi di Vaar and see how the Chandi (sword) destroys it's enemy. Smashing the heads of the enemy, cutting them to pieces, and making them run for their lives. Apply Gurbani to your problem. Also listen to the Katha of Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji. His ability to explain and assertive speech brings a Sikh to his knees. Next find yourself a fitness center and/or martial art gym and build a regular routine. Kaam energy can come out as kaam and you feel like a worthless human being afterwards or it can be transformed and help you in life. Thirdly, forget all about marriage. Many Singhs screw up when they convince themselves, I am only looking for a marriage partner and 99% of them fall into the trap of Kaam. Once you have a better grasp of kaam, you will have a better grasp of how to handle the marriage partner issue. Right now you are not stable to even think about marriage. And if your a teen or young adult and thinking about talking to girls as just friends, don't because you are fooling yourself and no one else. With this deep of a kaam problem, there is only one thing on your mind. Fourth change your sangat. This doesn't mean you avoid others, but the people you spend time with the most are not going to be gossiping about who slept with who, who is going out with who, which bibi/singh did what. If you have to avoid people altogether for couple of days to sit with Gurbani and build a strong relationship with the Guru, do it. Other things which can be a problem is tv, movies, etc if you are watching the wrong stuff and hoping to catch it on the television. The type of food you eat and when you eat also plays into it, but it's minor aspect to the kaam problem compared to everything else.

A friend of mine follows someone called DadaBhagwan he is a hindu and hes published books. Ive read one of his books it is on celibacy obviously maharaj calls this outdated in bani saying Kal Meh Keerat Har Naama but have a read it talks a lot about how to deal with kaami energy and gives a 3 step vision when you get kaam. Look at the person, imagine their insides i.e. the gandh inside them and then lastly imagine the soul thats where Guru Maharaj resides and then try and see if kaam attacks you. It wont.

That's fascinating and a bit strange, because I've never heard of this person or read that book, but that's quite similar to the kind of method I used. Very strange indeed.

Does not Gurmat cover this topic? Let me remind you of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji's Hukams. Maharaj says to study the works of others, but only keep faith in Akal Purakh. Let's address what, keeping faith in Akal Purakh means. The idea you provide is a theory, constructed by a fake master of the soul. It may work for some time and for others it will be a failure before they even step foot in the world. Keeping faith in Akal Purakh is following the instructions of the Guru and not doubting if the teaching will work. As soon as doubt enters the mind, you will fall victim to kaam, krodh, lobh, moh, and ankhar. Doubt in Akal Purakh means you have no more faith in Akal Purakh. The mind starts wandering and the 3 gunas take over like a river rushing down at a piece of tree branch in the rivers path. The Gurus teaching is only going to get a person across to the other side. No Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Jew, Jain, Budhist, or any other way can carry anyone across. They have theories only. The Guru talks to everyone in the world, regardless of their background, if they are willing to listen to his teachings through Gurbani.

I will act like a test rat and tell you, your suggested 3 step vision did not work for me. The Guru is the only one who saves a person from kaam. Sri Anand Sahib says, come Sikhs of the Guru and listen to the wisdom of the Guru. Nowhere else will you find peace, go and ask the spiritually wise about this. Guru Sahib's teaching fits all minor or major problems of kaam. Tomorrow an atheist or agnostic can try this suggested 3 step vision and they will surely fail because they don't have the only ingredient to solve the kaam problem. They don't have faith in Akal Purakh. No yogi, buddhist, hermit or anyone else has subdued kaam. All failed because they believed in themselves to beat kaam, instead of putting faith in Akal Purakh. The path of the Guru (Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji) is simple, but many make it complicated because they lose faith. They might have 90% or 99.9999% of faith in Akal Purakh, but they don't have 100% faith in Akal Purakh. Faith in Akal Purakh doesn't mean to read Gurbani and afterwards watch Game of Thrones that shows nude and sexual intercourse scenes or go to places which sell kaam (bars and clubs).

You can vision the ugliest person in the world or thing in the world and kaam will surely be their to drag the mind and body to the gates of hell.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
