Why Young Singhs Cannot Become Jathedaar?

Why all the Sikh Organisations, sampardaas, jathaas have old age Jathedaars ?

Why an 18-25 year old Charrdikala Rehivaan Singh cannot become Jathedaar or pardhaan ?

The white daarri sikhs are totallly involved in politics and power hunger and are not doing parchar that could be done.

The same reason that young Sikhs don't take charge in local Gurdwara committees. The power hungry big white dharee , big belly crew refuse to let them get involved. These guys are reason for many of the issues over the last 20 years... Meat, sharab parties on Gurdwara owned premises, facilitating interfaith anand karajs for monetary benefit etc etc.

Sikh leadership is weak and corrupt from the top to bottom Akal Takht/SGPC all the way to local Gurdwaras .

18 - 25 is young. These aren't mythological times or even times of Guru Sahib when Sikhs of that age were the finished article. Like it or not, jathedari is going to involve a certain level of political movement.

To pretend as if such a Jathedar will be able to lock himself away from the world in samadhi and make all decisions based on his bhagti is not going to happen whilst the corrupt apparatus around such an individual is in full force.

In this particular age someone with kamayi AND knowledge of how to play the various vultures and hyenas that will circle such an individual is essential. A "green" young Singh who hasn't a clue about the darker side of life will be chewed up and spat out by those devious old men.

Add to this, taking on such Responsibility's takes up a lot of time, young Sikhs in the western world especially simply can't dedicate enough time to fully dedicate themselves to such work.

Between working their day job, spending time with family etc, there is very little time left.

Older generations are a stage where they have done most things, raised their children, paid their mortgages. Are financially stable, may even be retired. Hence they have the time.
