Golak And Its End ...

I have always wondered how to implement a change in Golak reliance and the arguments for control of it ... no golak no power games/politics

Very good step remember that most of the money gurdwaras make is probably from akhand path and weddings. We need to do our own akhand paths and not relay on Granthies and pathies.

First of all we need to remove the golak infront of Guru Ji and put it somewhere else. once the golak is moved we also need to take down these gold colored metal fences that are in some gurdwaras. here is a picture

Akhand Paths generate the most income for a Gurdwara. To really make a difference the Sangat should do its own Akhand Path as a family. This will greatly cut the amount of money a Gurdwara will get and the Gurdwara committes will have less money to waste.

I understood that the golak was purely for assisting the weak and poor , bheta of shahstars and horses was seperate for fauj, and aanach , dhallan , langar saman was also seperate .. We should insist that maximum should be spent on outreach and education minimum on maintenance and mortgages , this may put paid to the whole industry of building massive hangar like gurdwarey just for show weddings ...when normally minimal space is needed for day to day sangat
