In an important decision, the Akal Takht on Friday revoked the pardon granted to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the 2007 Blasphemy case.

The Akal Takht that took this decision in a meeting of high priest had granted pardon to the dera head on September 24. The pardon was granted after the dera chief had sent an apology letter to the Akal Takht.

The decision to pardon dera chief had led to protests by various Sikh organisations and there were two lives sacrificed.

Absolutely and utterly ridiculous that these clowns are allowed to make any decisions at all let alone have any say in how the Sikh religion goes forward, it took them over 3 weeks and objections from pretty much every Sikh organisation worldwide to realise that they really haven't got a clue about anything.

It makes them look weak. Putting the issue to a side for a moment, we have just seen the Head of Akaal Takht make a decision and then say they were wrong. How weak does that make them look.

They basically got told to pardon him and then got told to retract it.

Puppets.

I don't think they thought the Sangat would react like this
