Well said. That muslim journalist woman who was on the show is highly protective of Islam just read her articles online she is a fundamentalist moslem. And your right she did admit in her religion her mum told her to find a nice muslim boy and that is what she was trying to do. Why didnt the women guests pick up on her about that islamic agenda of only marring a muslim? She then goes on that now she in her 30s she would be happy just to find anyone, but here she is showing signs of al-taqiyaa (deciect) because she still will only be allowed to marry a muslim under islamic law so legally her marriage wotn be recognised if she chose a non-muslim partner who didnt convert.

Muslims are very media savy because they had years of hostility (rightly so) cos their faith is so hostile to non-muslims but they have learnt how to be sly, promote islam by propaganda and play the media game to come across different to non-muslims to what they really think when they around fellow muslims.

The Sikhs in generally are still living in village mentality thinking everyone will understand our point of view cos we tend do to so much good in society and we dont need to play the game. But that is wrong the atheists, hindu indian nationalists and the abrahmic cultists will try to bash their non-adherant opposition at any oppertunity they can get as we saw in todays show.

cos theyre only objective on that show was to show tht sikhs can marry who they want and our religion will die. They didnt care about religion, didnt u see what people were tweeting into the studio? all stuff about love before religion :s

he did well to speak up and the presenter over-reacted. The other 2 Asians were more media friendly with their right-on attitudes, e.g marry whoever you want wherever you want. I'm surprised the Muslim girl said she's happy to marry anyone unless she means as long as the husband converts to Islam. The BBC don't seem to be on the cutting edge of news and tend to jump on the bandwagon. Channel 4 news are more likely to cover what is happening in Punjab. We should stop expecting the Western media to speak up for us, and have confidence in ourselves to say what needs to be said like Jagmeet did. He spoke up with the courage inspired by our Gurus.

Oh no dont rely on Channel 4 news on giving any positive coverage of Sikh protestors. When it came out last year that there was british government involvement in operation blue star the biggest genocide and terrorist attack on the heart of Sikhism in 20th century. The channel 4 news presenters gave only 2min coverage and the white woman journalist interviwed a young boy outside a southall gurdwara who said he would wanted revenge. And that wasnt edited out for a reason it was allowed to be broadcasted to paint the victimised and murdered Sikh community in as much negative protrayal as possible. These leftist white racists are just as anti-sikh as their far right wing counterparts, both hate religious people but will suck on muslims for some reason because the western governments need the hugh number of muslims for votes and to fight against them in their wars to steal their lands oil resources.

Also during the bezthi theature protests in bham back in 2004 the presenters attacked Sikh protestors even brought in atheist punjabi sunny hundal who was attacking Sikhs for standing up for their faith. They didnt give a chance for intelligent educated media savy Sikhs to give their side of the story they brought in some pendu who coulldnt string a sentenace together and was speaking in broken english. We know they do this on purpose because they wont let the opposition get a fair say or debate.

We as Sikhs need to see the wider picture see what they arent saying and what they are saying in their broadcasts.

I just emailed Channel 4 news to ask them to report on Punjab. Here is the link, the more people who contact them the better http://channel4.com/news/contact-channel4-news

Forget that i rather trust al jazeera to give fair coverage to Sikh protestors in punjab. At least they try to actually go to area's in south asia to give persecuted and victimised minorities their side of the story.

Vice News and Al Jazeera would be the best news outlets to give alternative mainstream content

The problem is that these types of shows are just there to allow the guests to voice their opinion in a few sentences. The Anand Karaj issue cannot be discussed fully in the ten minutes they allowed especially as they had to get that idiotic Hindu, the sell out Jew (two interfath marriages and an affair with John Major the dullest PM the UK ever had) and the taqiya playing Muslim their views.

In the end it doesn't matter what the media think because the aim is to prevent the interfaith Anand Karajs and these can only be prevented if the Sikhs who have love of Sikhi in their hearts are the ones who run the Gurdwaras and not the old budday who run the Gurdwara as a business. The Singh who was on the show did a good job and for those who want to criticise him then maybe they should be the ones on the show next time. I know some people will think he went overboard with the protest at the end but then at least it would have got some of the viewers to think about what is happening in Punjab. Anyway kudos to that Singh.

Let's not play the media game and always attempt to show how good we are as a community. Instead we should be focussing on making the Gurdwaras adhere to the Rehat Maryada. Let the BBC idiots shout as much as they can that we don't allow interfaith Anand Karajs. Their views don't matter.

BTW the researchers on that BBC show are so thick that they called that Kapoor cow - Sikh counsellor.. lol she was actually a councillor at Ealing council until 2014 when they voted the daft cow out. She is not a Sikh as far as I know but one of the Punjabi Hindus who think just because their ancestors used to go to the Gurdwara it gives them a right to voice their BS.

True. Al Jazeera and especially vice news are a much better alternatives than the western corporate media.

Personally i think we need to stop engaging with non Sikhs in regards to the Anand Karaj issue. They will never understand our perspective on this. We should just focus all our energy on the westernised Sikhs who have become athiest and agnostic and bring them to understand

Anyway one positive from that show was that the daft cow who was marrying that atheist gora got a big fat NO when she tried to book her 'fairytale' Anand Karaj! You can bet the cow who has probably been spoilt rotten by her parents suddenly got a NO for an answer for the first time in her life. She probably went off crying to dad and he probably tried to change the committee's mind by name dropping that he is so and so's sa.la /chacha/taiya etc. I wish I knew which Gurdwara it was and I would email them and let them know how I appreciate them adhering to the Rehat Maryada.

I would guess that without the protests the Gurdwara would quite easily have said yes and made a farce of the Anand Karaj.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
