Who Should Be Next Akal Takhat Jathedar

Well Ranjit Singh never compromised his Sikhi even in bad Sangat, (he stayed in the Nirankari headquarters for 3 months and it didn't effect his GurSikhi), if he can stay in bad Sangat that long and still follow Rehat he's probably doing something right.

I am not saying he is a bad choice, itd be great if he became jathedar, im just saying we cant brush off bhai rajoana either. And he has in been prison for ages now, so he too has been around bad sangat.

i know bhai ranjit singh was also in jail in murder case or nirankari but after he was made jathedar he got out?

(If this was a Punj Pyare I'd say they both should be allowed in), also we could have Ranjit Singh fix the system because he only left due to the Badals taking over. 1. It depends on the courts, (Ranjit Singh wasn't out immediately). 2. Judges pick a decision. 3. His first years as Jathedar were in jail. (If Rajoana becomes Jathedar the Indian Government won't let him out).

The government wouldn't release him because he is the jathedar. But Bhai Ranjit spent 7 of his years as Jathedar in prison.

To be honest, we could have anyone as the next jathedar. They'd be 100 times better than what we already got !

Most notably the fact that many of us feel it is high time that a non-Punjabi, perhaps western Sikh assumed the position, not least because such a person would be free from the inherent contamination that comes with being a Punjabi and thus would be 100% Sikhi without the Punjabi add-ons.

There's a difference between Amritdhari Sikhs and typical Punjabi "sikhs", all of the choices are GurSikhs, I'd rather let the Akal Takht not supporting that Kundalini Yoga which is just bad for the Panth. There are some non-3HO Sikhs that are western; however, they haven't really been in the Panth long enough.
