Bandi Chor Divas - Still Called Diwali?

AS the title suggests. Why is it happening? Diwali is a Hindu festival, yet even the Sikh Council issued statement said Black Diwali, not even in brackets was it Bandi Chor. Again we fail at preaching.

Happy Bandi Chor, Dhan Guru Hargobind Nirankaar Ji Mahraaj.

Is it not about time that we stop following the lunar cycle and celebrate Bandi Chor Dinas on the day it actually happened?

When did it happen? Dhan Guru Nanak Nirankaar pargatiya in April, yet we celebrate it on the 25th November? same with Easter, Jesus was born in April yet celebrated in December, does it matter as long as it is celebrated, yet it won't make any difference.

our months in Gurbani are lunar but yes we can map lunar to solar , but things is we need to calculate and double check a lot a of dates since RSS mucked up calculations in Pal SIngh's project on purpose to mess with our marking of history ...if it is not broke why fix the original , just make our own apps to calculate automatically our year's dates . any ideas folks why we celebrate Guru Nanak Dev ji prakash purab in November as opposed April?

But the Gurpurab for Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the same date every year, why can't we do the same for Bandi Chor Diwas?

I am quite fed up with it being a different date every year. There is no need for it.

normally the dates are shifted in the west anyway because of gurdwarey liking weekends for gurpurabs,

We always claim that Bandi Chor Divas is not the same as Diwali. What better way than to not follow the lunar cycle.

Let the Sikhs in the West co-ordinate and find the actual date and stick to it. There is no way the RSS/Indian government/Hindutva group will be able to do anything if we in the West and other countries outside India do this simultaneously.

We must lead and then the Sikhs in India and Punjab will follow.
