Ex. Jathedar Jasbir Singh Rode

Recommended Posts

Inderjit Singh, if you talk to people of Punjab who kept up with the events of those days, most dislike the Rode family. Completely disgraced Sant ji it seems. Their opinions match the content of your post. Baba Joginder jumped into the spotlight after Blue Star, due to Sant ji, people listened to him and Badal Talwandi and other Akali brass were too scared to speak against him for some time and let Baba Joginder head a new SAD.

It's true, for a long time the masses were afraid to speak up against the family due to the heera that was Sant Jarnail Singh Jee, but when the truth outs over a number of years it's difficult to keep silent. He is now siding with the Badals so this is further proof of where his priorities lie.

Putting events together it would seem possible and likely that there was some sort of agreement between the two parties. I dont see why he'd do a 180 change on his stance in return for nothing.

The militants grew very suspicious of him, especially due to his release. And the govt I assume felt like he was useless as he couldnt control the militants.

Ok, why do you think it was Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode who did the 180 degree change?

What was the militants connection with Bhai Jasvir Singh, and why would they be suspicious of him?

In similar fashion to what occurred 2 days ago, the goons pretending to be Sikhs in Darbar Sahib were handed over to the police and no action was taken against them.

what evidence do you have for this? I mean real evidence. Names of agents. Who handed them over? Who were they handed over to?

What? I dont get your question. During the Sarbat Khalsa days Khalistan was declared the goal, Rode was declared the jathedar. Then in prison, Rode and govt officials came to agreements. Rode suddenly started seeking out ways to bring people to the negotiation table, some were open to negotiation but the Panthic Committees and their men were not.

His relationship with militants came from his background, and his grandfather who now had clout in Punjab. They were suspicious because of his sudden release, his new negotiation stance, and in those days everyone became easily suspicous.

Nobody really respects Prithi Chand, nor do they respect Dhir Mal, both of which were directly related to Guru Sahib himself, (Vaheguru on Earth and elsewhere). So people just being scared of some Mahpurakhs relative would be harder to believe.

Thing is though they had their own followers as well. They did command respect from some factions.
