LOL @ at everyone struggling to understand him.Im guessing this guys a fellow usa/canada singh. (At least I hope so.)

Although I agree with what you have to say, its impossible to make them understand because theyre gonna come at back at you and say you hate women and stuff. I'd rather just tell them to post something meaningful also, something gurmat related or show support for cause of sikh political prisoners. Some will understand , some will continue. And remember we can't force everyone to be the perfect Gursikh but we can try our best and help them out.

in the big picture it is sad but it is truly an addiction. I dont think it will make you feel good in the end if you are wanting likes and comments on your physical saroop. We r missing the point work on inner beauty and that will shine. Hard to think this way but God gave you this body kind of foolish to be Proud should be grateful thankful to the creator not boast and show off

What do you guys think of style with kaur ? On instergram a amritdhari girl ?

Bhagat Ravi Das ji has some perfect advise for her. On ang 659 Bhagat ji says the following:

ba(n)kae baal paag sir ddaeree || You make your hair beautiful, and wear a stylish turban on your head. iehu qnu hoiego Bsm kI FyrI ]3] eihu than hoeigo bhasam kee dtaeree ||3|| But in the end, this body shall be reduced to a pile of ashes. ||3||

More advise comes from Sri Guru Arun Dev ji, where he says by wearing a turban on your head a person does not become saabath Soorath. Become totally aware of the maya you indulge in and step out of it. She believes to be practicing religion, like the Muslims Sri Guru Arjun Dev ji is analyzing, but she is practicing falsehood in the disguise of religion.

The Gurus with the true teachings of Shabad Guru made the body a true symbol of Akal Purakh. They utilized it to spread Gurmat. Fashion has always been a part of society, yet our Gurus and Gursikhs never indulged in it. If she wants to follow in the foot steps of the Gurus. Then go to France and wear the dastar in the government buildings and schools with all the virtues of Gurmat like contentment, compassion, and standing up for equality. What statement is she trying to make in a country where the dastar is not outlawed and dressing inappropriately? I think this is an attempt at begging for attention by wearing inappropriate clothing. Here ego has flared up and wants to be recognized regardless of the mistakes she is clearly making according to Sikhi. There is no honor in what she is doing. Sikhi does not tell us to indulge in maya to teach what you think is religion. Sikhi starts with honesty and ends with honesty.

No personal photos should be posted online. Share it with your family and friends but don't make it public. I was one of the major uploader of personal pictures but it took me years to remove all of them from online.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
