When Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj stood up on Vaisakhi 1699 and asked for a sacrifice... How many soormay, super brave jatts were among the blessed five that stepped forward...

Oh that's right not a single representative from the super duper brave hardcore jatt clans... Were they too sharabee to attend ?....

Instead of carrying on your crap casteist nonsense would not it great if you could give example of the greatest SIKH Generals in history because had they not been Sikhs they would have not even be soldiers.

This is a very important note. Its not the caste that makes a Sikh great but it us Sikhi that makes him great. Thats why we have had great Sikhs of many backgrounds who have been amazing generals

Your naivety in this matter, which effects the entire quom to the core is even more embarrassing.

What do you suggest? Pretending it doesn't happen?

We've been doing that for decades, it's made things worse.

Everything happens in Waheguru's will. Once you accept that, you have taken the first step in breaking the cycle of life and death.

My friend, if a Jatt embarrasses the panth, it is happening under Waheguru's will. Same goes for a tarkhan, khatri, etc.

My suggestion: Gladly accept Waheguru's will.

That can go both ways, there have been plenty of nonjats who've been great leaders.

Screw peasant self-aggrandising tendencies. Sikhi made juts, not the other way round. Most are sullay, just so you know.

Agreed it can go either way but if you read history there is a massive lean to one side.

I didn't know btw.

This is true, but what I will say is that mentality and strength of ethnic groups is obviously based on ancestral genetics, how they are brought up and the type of work they do. There is no denying that this was a contributing factor to their mindset in Wars, this included the Non Sikhs as well!

Oh here we go. :stupidme: As if we didn't already have enough ill-informed muppets here along comes gsinghyingh.

So what "one particular caste" is this then gsinghysingh ? I'm asking because the current biggest man in charge of "running our qaom" and, as recent events showed, completely "ruining our quom", is Avtar Singh Makkar who is an Arora/Khatri and the one before him, who completely ruined our religious institution as a moral and ethical one, was a Labana. In contrast, you may recall that the good people that had given blood, sweat and tears to fight them and everything they stand for and have ended up on death row awaiting execution for it are indeed all from that "one particular caste" you think are responsible for "all" the bad. I could go on and on with this list but I fear it would all go flying over your empty little head. If you've already made your ignorant mind up that "all the people ruining our quom belong to one particular caste" and are even prepared to put that thought into words on international discussion forums, despite the facts stating otherwise, then I fear your level of misinformed - ill-informed ignorance is at a level that cannot be penetrated.

'bad eggs' implies that you think some of them don't marry their 1st cousins......don't ritually eat halal meat.....do insist their wives practice Sikhi. But again we're back to your extreme, almost incredible level of ill-informed ignorance. Their culture....their way of life....is not restricted to the odd 'bad egg'. It is an inherent part of their psyche. An inherent part of their culture.

But your message, with all its ignorance, reveals a hellava lot about the state of our people. The true extremely low intellectual state that we're in. I mean, your message above got a 'Like' thumbs up from Simran345. She's a girl. A Sikh girl and yet she's supporting and saying nothing should be said against a group of Sikhs that strictly only marry their own 1st cousins and believe that girls (wives) should only exist as sex objects there to sexually arouse their man. The fact that a Sikh girl could come to the defence of such people is a truly damning indictment of the state of our community as Sikhs and a very clear explanation as to why the Indians have a national stereotype of us being incredibly thick.

Hi Jagsaw, very nice to meet you, your absolutely correct maybe a lot has moved on. my comments were mostly a rant and probably ill informed. You spent a lot of time going over it and completing your essay on it. Now that you have excercised your mind. Ask your mum to find you a wife lad, the boys now a man!!!

Well done gsinghysingh. An insult very cleverly disguised as a compliment. No mean feat. Well done.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
