" What is the right thing ,to accept whatever is happening as GURU'S BHANA or to make a prayer and ask for help. How to make ARDAAS for Waheguru ji's help? "

Hukmī hovan ākār hukam na kahi▫ā jā▫ī.

By the Lord's order bodies are produced. His order cannot be narrated.

Hukmī hovan jī▫a hukam milai vadi▫ā▫ī.

With His fiat the souls come into being and with His fiat greatness is obtained.

Hukmī uṯam nīcẖ hukam likẖ ḏukẖ sukẖ pā▫ī▫ah.

By His command the mortals are make high and low and by His written command they obtain woe and weal.

Iknā hukmī bakẖsīs ik hukmī saḏā bẖavā▫ī▫ah.

Some obtain gifts through His order and some through His order are ever made to wander in transmigration.

All are subject to His fiat and none is exempt from His fiat.

O Nanak! if man were to understand Lord's fiat, then no one would take pride (speak in ego).

?? Dhan Guru Nanak Dev ji

- Both, but think about help with what?

This shabad is from Bhai Gurdas ji's Varan - Vaar 27 Pauri 15

Don't ask for a gift that you have to ask for again and again.

Employ not an untrustworthy banker who will afterwards make you repent.

Serve not such a master who will render you liable to punishment later.

Engage not a physician who cannot cure your illness.

The filth of your sins cannot be cleansed so why bathe at places of pilgrimage.

The Love between the Guru and the disciples brings happiness and stability.(15)

What is the right thing ,to accept whatever is happening as GURU'S BHANA or to make a prayer and ask for help. How to make ARDAAS for Waheguru ji's help?

Waheguru ji ka khalsa

Waheguru ji ki fateh

Bheinji I know a couple who got blessed with a baby after 13 years of doing Ardas & begging at Gurdwara's.

Furthermore a Nihang told my friend to do Paath at Amrit Vela and Ishnaan at Sarovar which stopped his "Phulwari" Vitiligo disease after all medicine failed.

So it all comes down to Faith & persistence but most of all Ardas mustn't be against Gurmat.

Do Seva along with Ardas and hope for the best.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa

Waheguru ji ki fateh

I don't know much about Ardas; however, what you could pray for is to be a better person and for Sarbat-Da-Bhalla because only Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji can bless any human being, (and sometimes those who don't know of him still need his blessings). It's not what the prayer style is, but rather what the Ardas is about. (I understand it's for you're assistance, but don't make it selfish). Make the message of Vaheguru in your heart.

What is the right thing ,to accept whatever is happening as GURU'S BHANA or to make a prayer and ask for help. How to make ARDAAS for Waheguru ji's help?

If we were to accept everything has his will than the flower, grass, and trees are all our Gurus and the greatest Sikhs of all time. The flower takes everything Akal Purakh does to it, yet where is mukhti for all the flowers in the world? The animals pick at it, some animals eat it. The wind blows it around and the rain strikes it with force. Some step on it and destroy it. If we were instructed to be flowers, then out of the womb everyone human being would be jivan mukht.

It all depends on what your intentions are behind what you are asking for. Sant Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa explained Vaheguru's Hukam very well. A swami asked Sant ji what will you do if a person was going to burn a baby before your eyes? Sant ji, replies by saying I will save that baby from being burnt. The Swami adds some conditions. What if someone is holding you and you can't get to the child? Sant ji replies by saying I will try with all my strength to break the hold and save the child. Sant ji says, only when I can't do anything to save the child from being burnt alive will I accept the child being burnt alive as Vaheguru's hukam. If the flower had the ability to move when a person was about to step on it. It will move and strike the person for trying to step on it. Sant ji was explaining to the Swami how Vaheguru has given everyone a certain amount of abilities. Some have more and some have less, whatever the case. The key is to try your hardest by following the virtues of Gurmat. Our only strength is Vaheguru. Punj Pyare say nitnem Banis are like our breath. As we can't be alive without breathing, so can't we live without nitnem. How many times do the Gurus tell us to do ardas in our nitnem? Ask for help from Vaheguru is a humility act in itself. It's telling the mind how it cannot achieve all and the source of life (Akal Purakh) is needed the most. The gifts in the house of Vaheguru will never run out. So ask for his help every second of your day. There is no scale where you will owe Vaheguru back. By following Gurbani you will present yourself to Vaheguru and the gifts Vaheguru gives will only increase.

It's ok to ask for help from Waheguru, who else are we to do Ardaas to?

But it's not wise to ask for things we don't need, eg: expensive cars, materialistic things out of greed.

So, Hanji ask Waheguru to help you with any dukh you are facing and the rest is in their Grace.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
