Yes you are right penji.

Punjabi in pure (theth) form is the Punjabi that I've been brought up with and its a shame the upcoming generations belittle it. But what do they know, hey? Modern de lagde. Nowadays people are mixing Hindi with it, trying to be all Bollywood.

problem is Bollywood is openly a prostitution industry now , do we really want our youth taking cues from them ?

Wanted to bump this topic.

Does anyone know where to get affordable instruments on a budget while not sacrificing quality of instrument? Also I have been casually on the lookout for local teachers for last couple years in central valley, but so far I haven't really seen anyone who teaches Gurmat Sangeet Vidya properly.

Would love to try to get into it as well.

  Thanks for this. It combines the four approved sources (Guru Granth Sahib ji, Dasam Granth Sahib, Bhai Gurdas ji (both Vaar and Kabitt), and Bhai Nand Lal ji in one place. The English translation is the Sant Singh Khalsa and the Punjabi is the Principal Sahib Singh. These aren't that great, but at least they are better than some even worse ones floating around these days.
