Darahan rogi qualification is matriculation (10th grade) and a diploma in Music from Missionary college.

In my view he has no diploma as he never went to college and missionary colleges did not exist that time. He learned kirtan from nanksar.

To know little bit about him he was employed as a compounder with a doctor at jargraon after matric. There he was stealing money, got caught and dismissed.

My brother first of all he is not professor as he is 10 grade only. It takes 17 years after ph d to become professor if one's thesis is accepted. He has put a label of lies on his forehead of professorship. He is neither a historian nor an academic. He can do kirtan on harmonium by reading from a hand written slip in front of him.A person who lies is unfit to preach as his Jeevan is low.

All his life he earned money by singing banis of Dasam granth. Now when time has changed he is making money to propagate against same Granth.

Perhaps however, he was a former Jathedar so I very much doubt his knowledge on Sikhism is questionable.

So were shaheed Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochal and shaheed Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaunke. Both were jathedaars of Akaal takhat. Both were students and preachers of DDT ( have immense knowledge of Dasam and SGGS bani and Sikh history). Kaunke got shaheed while he was Jathedaar of Akaal takhat.

DDT - Damdami Taksal.

Quantavius you should stop arguing now.

I read that and I'm not convinced our Guruji Maharaj wrote that.

From what I've read elsewhere one of the vocal Anti Dasam crowd is Professor Darshan Singh who is a former Jathedar of Akal Takth. I very much doubt he of all people are ignorant on Sikhism.

he has been excommunicated so forget the past he is NO LONGER A SIKH, his bought opinion has no sway

From Sikhwiki

Recently, he was excommunicated from panth for not reciprocating his tankha. In addition, he and all other's who were "excommunicated" from the panth were called back to be given pardon, he denied, saying that going would give the jathedar's the pleasure of assuming that he agrees with their excommunication; namely, him not attending Akal Takhat to reciprocate his tankha. He said that there was evidence of him going there and this was merely a way to dis-character him.

In my eyes he excommunicated himself by going against the SRM as well as becoming bemukh by throwing dubida on Guru ji's character and bachan, just because this was formalised by the Akal Takht means just a confirmation.

He has no respect for Guru Ji it is clear and neither the institutions of sikhi so why the hell does he think the Sikh world owes him anything?

I did not read your first line. You made a statement earlier on this topic that you do not know much about DG.

After 5 to 6 days you are writing that you have read it. What is going on.I am sorry to state that you are a habitual liar.

Look, you're obviously looking for an argument and I really don't have time for that. Yes, yes....I'm some secret RSS guy. Wait! Actually I'm a Missionary! Or maybe a combo of both? I don't know man.

You better get used to the idea that not everybody is going to agree with you. And you can't convince others by fighting with them. It's not going to work.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
