Budha Dal Is Punjva Takht, Chalda Vaheer

Recommended Posts

there has to be a moving takht.

If we believe in 5 stationary takhts, there will be problem. We will need to open new takhts in Europe, America,Canada,Australia, kenya etc etc.

That doesn't make any sense. Takht by its very definition cannot be human being. Why do we need Takhts in western countries or anywhere else when we already have 5 takhts that have parvaangi of the Sikh Panth? If we take your theory of Nihangs to be a Takht to be true, surely it would find mention in at least one puratan source. But we find no mention of this in Panth prakash, suraj prakash or even the works of Giani Gian Singh who wrote his works in the modern era.

Bro , I may be naive but the Taksal is based on the dharti of Talwandi Sabo i.e. DamDama Sahib ji thus I held no diff in my mind , sure the institution is not the takht in the same sense that Chalda Vaheer has no anchor point but more like Akal Takht or the other takhts tied a location.

What lol? Mehta Chowk is no where near Bhatinda area. Damdami Taksal is in Majha reigon. Damdama Sahib is in Malwa. You can just admit if you made a mistake confusing the two to be one.

damdama sahib is the location historically where Guru Pita ji started the Taksal in 1705 is it not , mehta chowk started a lot later with Baba Sunder Singh ji in the last century

Perhaps, may be. I am not sure, is that a fact with sources? Ether way, damdama sahib has been accepted by the overall Sikh panth as a Takht. Nihangs of any dal do NOT deserve status of Takht, they are useless to the Sikh kaum today.

Dear Brother,

U are making a big mistake by calling Nihang Singhs useless. They are like GOLD. They need some minor improvements.Thats it

The Sikh Panth has come to accept Sri Damdama Sahib as the Panjwa Takht. And no one including Nihangs are bigger than the Sikh Panth. Before there were only 4 Takhts. Later on sometime during the modern era or 20th century the Nihangs began to self proclaim themselves as a "takht", no puratan source says Nihangs are a Takht. Now the Sarbat Khalsa which the Nihangs also attended has chosen Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal as the Jathadar of Takht Shri Damdama Sahib aka Panjwa Takht.

Dear Veer,

U are a wonderful Sikh Brother of mine, but sometimes I get the feeling that you are a bit pro-damdami taksal and u dont have much faith in Dal Panth.

Do we have the right to create a new takht?According to me answer is no.

Dear Veer,

According to you, Sikh Panth has the right to create a new takht ie Damdama sahib.

So if we can create one new takht, we can also create new takhts in england, america etc.

According to me, we dont have right to create a new takht. Damdama Sahib is not a takht and Budha Dal is the moving takht.

Dhan Dhan Dal Panth!

Dhan Dhan Akali Baba Mitt Singh Ji

Dhan Dhan Akali Baba Tara Singh Ji

Dhan Dhan Akali Baba Surjit Singh Ji

Dhan Dhan Akali Baba Joginder Singh Ji

Dhan Dhan Akali Baba Prem Singh Ji

Minor improvements? Far from it. There are Im sure plenty of great individual nihangs, but as a whole theyve been useless to Sikhs for past few centuries. When is the last time they really behaved like the Fauj they claim to be?

Actually purataan sources do state so, the primary sources of Hazoor Sahib state so. Damdama Sahib was only recognized as Takhat in 1966, the S.G.P.C's own report on the matter alludes to the Budha-Dal being the 5th Takhat; if we accept your argument (4 takhats versus 5) then even today Damdama Sahib can be removed as Takhat, why honor it so?
