What interesting times we live in seems like its all kicking off lately. There army coup in turkey going on which means there will be a return to secular democracy and away from erdogans islamist poisoning of the turkish state.

let's pray that the secular ways of old are reinstated and the corrupt regime is ousted but of course USA is an erdogan supporter

It's about time the Turkish army took some action. Erdogo is an Islamist trying to take Turkey back to it Islamist past. The whole mess in Syria is a large part due to Turkey sending arms to FSA and also buying cheap oil from ISIS which then allows them to have a functioning economy with which they fund their military operations.

Meh ta kehnda changah hoiya, erdogan, who is a chamcha of the americans/british/israel, openly funding, supporting terrorists in syria against bashir al assad, deserves death! He has p!ssed off the 20% kurdish people, of the south of turkiye more than any1 else in the turkiye's recent history, surely there isnt any way back for him. Hopefully he gets a Nicolae Ceaușescu style public execution. This just proves, if u chammal too much, and dont listen to the public, this is wat u get. Imprisoning journos, opposition, media personalities, for speaking out against his crap, would eventually lead to this.

Watch how the usual, western govt leaders give support to erdogan, and condemn a military uprising, even tho, the west has done EXACTLY that in other countries and has ended up destroying them forever! I see that h@rami monkey obama has opened his gob already, k@njar salah.

Hopefully kamal mustapha attaturk's turkiye is back to normal, n undo edogans crap of the past few years.

I really can't fathom the barefaced cheek of the mainstream media. The front page of the Guardian is practically stating the coup is over, it's been defeated with no problem, etc, whereas in actuality there are videos of fighter jets buzzing the crowds, tanks crushing cars, and reports of a bomb going off. Besharm MSM is full of it.

Coup has only really failed in the main populated cities of istanbul n ankara the capital. In other areas, erdogan is dispised, especially by the kurds in the south, who constitute 20% of the population of turkiye. Had the coup been better organised, it would never have been halted.

It was very poorly executed. First thing the army should have done was take over all the communications and main broadcasting channels then surround the intelligence agency and police states and de-arm them. But before going ahead with a coup they should have judged the mood of the public whether its ripe for a coup with people ready to come out in the streets for the army.

Problem with this coup is that erdogan was able to broadcast on facetime of all things on smaller channels and call out his supporters on the streets to challenge the army. I'm sure most turks support than army rather than the erdogan islamist government especially the urban elites and middle class but are afraid to come out. Erodgan has popular support in the conservative countrysides because he has implemented their islamist agenda.
